Can we stop with the blanket Edina bashing? I have no idea what happened or why the coaches pulled their team. Clearly, nobody else on this board knows either. Maybe we'll find out, maybe we won't. In the meantime, there are hundreds of Edina parents who drive their kids to practice every night, go...

Re: Roseau Bantam A
What does that teach the kids? When it gets tough just quit? I wonder if this would have happened if this was the championship game! I think the lesson to the kids is: Work hard, play hard, but play clean and fair, otherwise the other team will retaliate, or if they have more class then you, they w...

Re: Roseau Bantam A tournament
Who goes to Roseau to forfeit? . . . Edina in a 3rd place game getting knocked around. CRAZY! Well said Old Timer! But, I do feel just a little bit bad for the players and parents that were in disagreement with the coach for forfeiting. You drive 350 mile one way to play in a tounament with great t...

sympathy for young 97's
Yeah, yeah of course Edina wins again even though it was a nail biter. Once again we get to see the power of the Hornets. Too bad for the young 97 Fire as I hear they had a much harder road. They had to fight by a scrappy Lakeville South team to win 5-2, Battle past Wayzata and their "six foot...

Re: like
I sorta like what EDINA is doing, taking there team out of state to play in what will be a field filled with good teams. I'll go out on a limb and say that Edina PW A this year goes about 40-2 and outscores its opponents by at least 140 goals and goes deep into if not wins the state title. Of those...

Re: Already had first practice
I heard the team already had its first practice last Thursday at Breamar. To keep under the radar its advertised as a Fall Pee Wee Pre -Tryout Skate but we all know thats just a front. Any idea who ran the skate? What adults were on the ice? Which kids were on the ice? Bantam A and PeeWee A coachs ...

You are ABSOLUTELY right! Roseau poses NO threat to any of the metro teams.. so they all could just as well sit back and relax... Roseau will be absolutely no competition at ALL! haha. 8)  :?: What about Roseau's losses this season to Edina, Wayzata, Elk River and Chaska, ALL TOUGH HOC...

Well, well, well... Do we have to go through this discussion yet another time?! The state tournament is set up so that 2 teams are represented from each region. (It is a state tournament, after all--not a metro tournament or a northern team tournament...) Some regions have a lot of good teams, othe...

Woodbury has a chance. They've been winning some BIG games! I agree. The east region was competitive and enjoyable to watch, but it's unfortunate a team like Burnsville is not making the trip to New Hope. You never know at this level, but I consider Woodbury an underdog against Blaine. Burnsville i...
