Will Eagan be able to beat the spell of the #1 seed from this section not advancing to the State Tournament the last three years? In 2007, Cretin was #1 and were beaten by Woodbury in the finals. In 2008, Rosemount was #1 and was stopped by Woodbury in the finals. In 2009, Woodbury was #1 and were ...

2 shots in the 1st, 4 shots in the 2nd, 3 shots in the 3rd! What happened to the Woodbury team of the last 12 games or so? Was Woodbury that bad or Cretin that good? Can someone who saw the game clue me in. Thanks i think it was a little of both. i was at the game and it seemed like woodbury had tr...

cretin outplayed the royals regardless of who was in net. shots were 30 to 9 in cretins favor and besides for his goal with 1:30 left Gaede seemed a non-factor. Alt dominated the game with a nice go ahead goal in the second to kill any woodbury momentum. makes for an interesting section3AA matchup i...

Excellent summary, have to agree with most of them, but CDH, (I found myself at a nephews pee wee game in highland and surprise surprise, i got to watch some of this one) i was really unimpressed. CDH has a few skilled players, that's it, their defense is big, but they also had a very large and slo...

Section 3AA

i know its not one of the most powerful sections in the state but it should make for some pretty interesting matchups with Cretin, Woodburry, and Apple Valley all looking pretty even this year. Any Thoughts?

i dont buy it.. This is done by the same guy who found it necessary to bash the gophers and St. Paul after they lost to Harvard a few years back. Also notice the absence of Anders Lee. Its almost as if they didnt want the ex cadet to be a scar on the supposedly homegrown cakeeaters You don't buy wh...

it upsets me to see that they still have some sections in AA tougher than others(2AA,6AA) but i believe other sections will begin to gain more recognition. There is no way Cretin is going to get above 25 shots let alone 40. If the defense plays half as well as they have been all season they still won't get over 25. I haven't heard of a dominant forward either for Cretin so it will not be as high as 40 shots. what about Perron 43 points, Barbato 36 poi...

The better team lost. Just a simple case of kids being kids. Any team can beat any other on any given night, especially with a hot goalie. Upset's have been happening since the beginning of time. 7 out of 10 times STA wins. The Z's don't have near the talent that STA does. The goalie played well fo...

Re: No....East isnt a Legit Title contender

Afraid not my Northern buddies.......East isnt that great face to face thye are playing a team that is a decent matchup for them, but East would need help to actually win 3 games at the EX........Cretin is totally willing to play the physical POUND the crap out of you game. So I look for East to be...

CDH and their staff will have a good idea about just how good DE is. Anyone without a serious grudge knows the Hounds are one the most talented squads in the state. With that said, I think CDH has an outside chance of winning this one. CDH has quick, clever forwards and Walsh is a very solid goalie...

Alt moves incredibly well. i have not seen a skater beat him one on one all year. Some of the others ones are move reasonably well for their size but can be beat by the small quick forwards

I'll admit CDH is the team I know the least about of the 8 at state. To that end, it would be very nice if someone who follows the team could give a nice description of strengths, weaknesses, and style of play. That'd allow me to get a better feel for this matchup. That said, this is one of the two...

Re: Great game

It was a straight up even game as most predicted..except you. If they played 10 times that's 5/5. I was way wrong on my Jefferson prediction and you were wrong on your thoughts on this game. Was Cretin patient in this game or bottled up? Anyways great game. AV will be very tough the next 3 yrs. Very...
