No, and neither does he's grampa. He should just head to college and get a degree.

If you are a top kid from Minnesota, there is no reason to leave. The WHl is only for guys that are projected to go in the top 10 of the draft. The WHL coaches and scouts will tell you to leave but don't. You will be better off staying home and playing. If you are not a top 10 draft choice you need ...

Totally agree. That is why it is better for these kids to stay here and not be tempted by the WHL. Minnesota kids are better off staying at home and not going to the WHl. Iverson and Walker are perfect examples of reasons not to go. Stay home!

I think that if Iverson had to do it over he would have stayed too. He would have been better off in Minnesota where he could have played and got better. I think they promised him a lot but it is a sales job.

CCS Preliminary Players to watch

Looks like we only have 9 high school players on the list. No one is listed A and only 2 got a B ratings. Other MN kids listed who are not playing high school.

Wow..That is borderline racist remark you just made. If you knew what you were talking about, you know it is field hockey not ice hockey.

Not a good reason

I would not take this route. You limit you choices and your time. You are better off going to USHL then college. CHL is to risky and coaches have a business to run. Go to college.

not positive but I think Baer can't play in the WHL until he is 16. Not sure where he's going to play now that he's off the Benilde team. He should have waited. Nice win tonight by Benilde!!!!!

here is the link

If hes not 1st or 2nd line on vancouver, he won't be playing much there either, its a really tough league to make it and not worth the risk of giving up time to grow and college. big mistake

good luck to him. It is not easy and if they made promises they most likely won't be kept. He would be better off going to college. The whl is a mans league and a business. I hope he knows what he is doing.

interesting to see besse's line double shifting in the last few minutes in a game they are winning by 3. All I can think is that coach is trying to get them some points instead of giving the 4th line some time...Nice

The reason schools like Breck and TG can't beat St Thomas is because they get out coached. Breck has talent every year but no coaching. TG has coaching but not that much talent. St Thomas has talent and coaching They will win every year until the other schools either get better coaching or more tale...

Looking at team stats, Walker has played 7 out of 18, Iverson 13 out of 17 and Bittner 9 out of 17. They are only 16 and need time to adjust.
