I'm not sure only having one high school team is the best for St. Cloud. How does fewer high school opportunities translate into a better program? I understand that it will mean a better high school team but I don't understand how fewer high school opportunities will grow the program. I admit I hav...

What is really happening with this? Is this a done deal? Is it long term or temporary? Why is it such a secret? I would think it would only help the youth program there. Now they only would need to feed 2 schools. Amen! Dunno why there isn't more info out there. Lot's of talk, but not much official...

Money grab - plain and simple. If you and your kid aren't connected to the right people, you're wasting your money. Kids that did virtually nothing in the festival, make the final 54. Shameful. I will say it does seem a little odd in certain cases... The other half and I sat down and were trying to...

Well, all teams are posted on Gopher state festival now, I would agree, it seems as though the talent is there. It is a recreational tourney... It hopefully is fun for the kids participating and potentially enables a few folks to watch... I know they have had difficulty with players committing to bo...

Could be. I know Xposure, anyone can apply. I don't think everyone is accepted, I could be wrong. Looks like a fair number of out of staters on those rosters (?SSM students, I don't know). It looks like its a joint effort of the elite league and SSM, this year, anyway. Who runs the Gopher Festival?...

With this new rule on 5 min majors, I think it would be great if when people post scores they also post how many 5 min pen. happened in the game. No need to name names and I don't even really care if you say which team. I think this new rule is going to be a disaster. With the refs calling a 5 min ...

Will the potentially fewer wins eventually mean less participation? We shall see. Really? Is it that much of a Paradigm that the parents will go elsewhere if their record isn't like it was... ??? C'mon.... A large population area, overall, relatively well off..... Hockey is a natural fit.... Rememb...

What I find interesting about the Select 15 process is that there is very little information available in some districts. D2, D4, D5, D8, D9, D15 and D16 are up front and easy to understand what is happening. D3 and D6 run the initial phases like a tryout in an arena with the glass doors taped with...

Pretty cut and dry from the structure guidelines: Phase 3 Completed by April 21-22, 2012 Seeding Game Weekend Four divisions of three teams each play a round robin preliminary two game schedule. The top two finishers in each division are seeded into an eight-team bracket with each team playing thre...

Brackets posted.... obscurely I might add.... Obscurely is right. District 15 is #2 seed from seeding games last weekend but gets placed in red pool. Seems to me they compiled the whole group of district teams and looked at their performance overall rather than within each three team competition......
