I'm not sure only having one high school team is the best for St. Cloud. How does fewer high school opportunities translate into a better program? I understand that it will mean a better high school team but I don't understand how fewer high school opportunities will grow the program. I admit I hav...

What is really happening with this? Is this a done deal? Is it long term or temporary? Why is it such a secret? I would think it would only help the youth program there. Now they only would need to feed 2 schools. Amen! Dunno why there isn't more info out there. Lot's of talk, but not much official...

Money grab - plain and simple. If you and your kid aren't connected to the right people, you're wasting your money. Kids that did virtually nothing in the festival, make the final 54. Shameful. I will say it does seem a little odd in certain cases... The other half and I sat down and were trying to...

Well, all teams are posted on Gopher state festival now, I would agree, it seems as though the talent is there. It is a recreational tourney... It hopefully is fun for the kids participating and potentially enables a few folks to watch... I know they have had difficulty with players committing to bo...

So call me ignorant or without a clue, but, how do kids get in this draft anyway? I mean there has to be some "eligibility type agreement" right?

Just curious... :?

Could be. I know Xposure, anyone can apply. I don't think everyone is accepted, I could be wrong. Looks like a fair number of out of staters on those rosters (?SSM students, I don't know). It looks like its a joint effort of the elite league and SSM, this year, anyway. Who runs the Gopher Festival?...

Kind of fun to watch in any case though... Other than the "feeling out" process that takes place when you put together teams, the young men are talented for sure. Do the scores mean anything, not really. Pretty much the same gig when you do any of these types of festivals or tournaments......

With this new rule on 5 min majors, I think it would be great if when people post scores they also post how many 5 min pen. happened in the game. No need to name names and I don't even really care if you say which team. I think this new rule is going to be a disaster. With the refs calling a 5 min ...

Truly, I don't know if any of the said "assumed to make it" looked that strong when I was watching. There is something to be said for players that have skill, hard work ethic AND can give it for the whole camp. From what I saw, there were several names not on anyone's radar that were out w...

Will the potentially fewer wins eventually mean less participation? We shall see. Really? Is it that much of a Paradigm that the parents will go elsewhere if their record isn't like it was... ??? What I find interesting about the Select 15 process is that there is very little information available in some districts. D2, D4, D5, D8, D9, D15 and D16 are up front and easy to understand what is happening. D3 and D6 run the initial phases like a tryout in an arena with the glass doors taped with...
