Thought I would bring this over and create a new thread. Very impressive amount of Minnesota players on list. http://www.westerncollegehockeyblog.com ... ft-preview

After first couple rounds, most are flyers and definitely not expected to play in USHL in next year or two. Only tenders need to play minimum number of games next season, hence few if any MN kids that will be sophomores sign a tender.
Tonight is the real draft, where it could be expected 25% will play in USHL next season.

What a great rule if it were true. Should have to play them 20 games.O-townClown wrote:The Phase III draft is where you select players that you can assign to your rival. Fine print says they have to play them in at least four games during the upcoming season.BodyShots wrote:Who got the Farmington goalie, and in which round?

Anybody that meets the parameters for the draft--in this case, anyone born in 1997--is eligible to be picked. Whether that player wants to tryout for the team that selected him, is up to the player himself. It basically just determines where they'd play in the USHL if they choose to play in that league.skills_coach1 wrote:So call me ignorant or without a clue, but, how do kids get in this draft anyway? I mean there has to be some "eligibility type agreement" right?
Just curious...
