So many memories. My dad started taking me to the Saturday afternoon session when I was 8 years old to watch the consolation and 3rd place games. The earliest memory I have was a crazy Roseau - Burnsville consolation game that Roseau won 9-8 in ot. The next year my Hastings Raiders made it with Step...

Last row of 119 all day Thursday; Friday and Saturday nights. I'll be the guy trying to figure out who to cheer for since I usually cheer against the private schools. Always one of the highlights of my year!

Interested most in the H-M WBL game. If WBL wins, it would have to be one of the bigger upsets in this awesome rivalry, don't you think?

I'm a Rapids fan in SE Minnesota (long story) - how can you NOT feel terrible for the GR seniors? What a punch to the gut. Awful!! Listening to it online and just can't believe it! To be up 1-0 late and lose like that. What was it like if you were there?!?!

No offense to fans of the Spuds and Hornets but I was hoping for Burnsville and Bemidji to win; I wanted to see some different teams make it to the X this year. But, Edina and Moorhead are great programs and consistently make it so my hat's off to them. My computer sucks - does anyone have an update...

At the X (besides the hockey, of course) - Terrence Fogerty's art exhibit, mini-donuts, the official program (even if it is too expensive), and meeting all my buds between games/periods.

Outside of the X - Cosetta's for sure, McGoverns, Great Waters, Mickey's Diner

Agree with many of you. When I go to the X it's fun to see some new blood. Especially when the new blood is legitimately good like the 'Jacks are this year. It would be cool to see Bemidji and Grand Rapids make the trip this year!

My pick of GR is more heart than head, however I do think they have an advantage in goal and that will be the difference; GR wins 3-1 with an EN. (I want to see them in St. Paul more than East - sorry Hounds fans)

Great national article on Fasching

I know there is a specific sticky for articles, but this is a national media article. I don't know much about Hudson, but I'll be pulling for the Eagles after reading this. His dad does a great interview with him also: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/story?columnist=burnside_scott&id=6145415

This topic is old, but I agree. Lourdes should be playing AA also. It's apples and oranges to me - a team like Hibbing or Little Falls or New Ulm or Delano is different than STA, Breck, Blake, Totino Grace, and all the other privates. I can at least respect Holy Angels and Hill for moving up to AA. ...

I think JM got the short end and it does matter - if they were #3 they would not play L'ville S until the section final. Of course, L'ville South is by far the class of this section so JM might just avoid playing them until the final instead of the semi.

Grand Rapids. They might only lose 2-3 games all season. They were under .500 last year. Could be REALLY wild at the DECC if the Thunderhawks and Hounds make the final in 7AA.

Regular season schedule - sections or conferences

I read recently that Cloquet's coach suggested that teams should be playing teams in their sections and do away with conferences. What are your feelings about this? My two cents - I think that many teams already play games against their sectional opponents in their conferences and many teams try to ...
