Selection Process for Junior Fest
Junior Fest is not a Minnesota Hockey event, it is a Minnesota Girls Hockey Coaches Association program and is run totally by the girls high school coaches. Place the blame on the high school coaches for the selection process, not Minnesota Hockey who is the governing body for amateur hockey.

HOFam'r I believe you are absolutely correct in that development should be a choice of the participant and not an automatic charge. But there are individuals in Buffalo Youth Hockey who appear to have been as greedy as the banks, real estate companies and mortgage industry that has created the curre...

The NAHA team is registered with USA Hockey, however, their state does not allow them to participate in the playdowns to advance to the USA Hockey 19 Under National Championships. Minnesota Hockey allows the MN Thoroughbreds to participate in a playdown to advance.

They usually only travel with a 20 player roster and they have 21 players already listed as members of the under 18 team, so maybe they are planning to take a te...

There are new opportunities for females to participate in international events on USA Hockey Women's teams with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) announcing the inaugural U18 Women's National Championships set for January 5-13, 2008. USA Hockey announced at the Annual Congress in June t...

Besides, we want them here to view the players as much as possible, rather than working the event. ...
