They haven't been part of an alliance. They just changed their name to the flyers because they use the fly wheel and competitive edge a lot. It was the head coaches idea, hoping it might draw more attention to the training. They are going by the competitive edge flyers and will be playing in all the...

Don't worry about the over-analyzing - that's what this forum is for! Couple counterpoints - Okay, so I may have over estimated the contribution from the Luverne kid. Fact still remains though that even if he was only 50% of the team's shots, puck time, etc. . . it still equaled zero (in two games)...

I also saw the entire second game and there is no question the Monopoly were the better team. Ummm, I am guessing that you mistyped here or something, because even given my bias toward the Monopoly there is no question that the Machine were better in 2nd game. HD11, You should get your facts straig...

and yes I do realize he's a 00'. Also was surprised to see a non blades team arguably out play the orange. Hey ETS - not trying to jam your comment but you must not have seen the second period of that game (3 - 0 Machine). Monopoly may have had the overall edge in shots but 90% of them came from th...

I must be terrible at public relations as I continue to be amazed at the response my post has received. Two things that are apparently not getting through... 1. I merely wanted to point out that non-proftits can still provide huge compensation to employees and I meant that to stand alone. I mean to ...

First, the Icemen are a non-profit club, unlike some of the other AAA teams - particularly the ones playing in the Easton tournament/Alliance - so therefore none of us can be on their payroll. Hmmm, why then does Fairview, which is a non-profit, pay management 6 and even 7 figures a year? As a matt...

Legacy hockey fiction writers
Just curious who writes on the website for the legacy. It appears they have a bright future working for the Onion or maybe a fiction series. The information in this post was not even close. http://www.minnesotalegacyhockey.com/page/show/68562-1999 In reality shots were about 28 to 25 in their win ag...

JSR, I guess I became cynical when you apparently edited your post and changed identities. Whatever, its a message board, who knows what anybody around here is representing? This is just my opinion, but the Monopoly was off their game for large stretches of the semifinal because they were in running...

Champions I'm aware of: '98 - Thunder Bay '00 - CCM I saw this and the score above that showed 98 ccm 6 and 98 jr. Badgers 6. In both cases, this can be a bit confusing because there are 3 ccm teams at these ages (actually, I am not sure if there is a 98 ccm capitals so there may only be 2 ccm team...

I saw the championship game between the 98 Jr Badgers and the Thunder Bay 98's (Thunder Bay won 2-1) and I'd say that the better team definitely won the game. I wasn't routing for either team but by the end of the game I found myself cheering for Thunder Bay because the Badgers coach came across as...

Re: 2000 Machine
Is the 2000 Machine team for real? They beat the 99 Monopoly and the 99 CCM Capitals or are these teams not realy AAA teams? Help me if I am confused, but don't you have to play a team in order to beat them? I can assure you that the 99 monopoly is really a AAA team. Skillguy -- The 2000 Machine pl...
