Disagree with comments on BCHL. Great league with a much more wide open style of play. My son played in NAHL and BCHL. BCHL is a slightly younger league - much like the USHL - but overall much better than the NAHL. Two second/third liners from his BCHL team left mid season and became first/second li...

Here are the recent former MN HS goalies I know of that are committed to play D1 in the future. List suggests that D1 schools want MN HS goalies to play at least 2 years of Juniors - more games higher and higher level of competition. Wilcox SSP 2 Years of Juniors Minnesota 2012 Kruger Minnetonka 2 Y...

Question Blueblood as you seem to be in the know. How does this group of kids go from nothing as PeeWees and Bantams to one of the better teams in the state as high schoolers? Late Bloomers? Coaching? Development vs. Winning philosophy at youth level? Other?

Great game! STA doninated the first period. Tonkay seemed the wear them down the rest of the way. Two very quick teams!

Probably not Altricher's best game - 2 softies - and not a lot of great chances by Breck.

Agree with High Flyer. Without Leddy last year, EP probably doesn't get out of the section much less win the tourney even though they were a very good team. That being said, EP will still be awfully good this year as they have a deep and talented feeder system to pull from and would think they're th...

Youngblood: I think you misread the stat sheets. Faulk played 64 games for the U17 team and 1 game for the U18 team. The goalies do rotate for the most part. Yanakeff and Campbell were on the U17 team and split games -- Yanakeff left the team for non-hockey reasons near the end of the year which exp...

Agree with previous posters. Saw Tonka play 4 other games this year. Didn't look like the same team - very flat. Very few scoring good chances. Maybe it was the Olympic sheet. EP did a great job finishing. Congrats to them.

Best game I've seen all year. Edina with a great comeback. Tonka's goalie plays stellar, especially in O/T. All Edina's goals were scored from the crease (3-4 back doors). Edina's front line too strong down low in the 3rd period. Would love to see these two teams play again.

Was at Hopkins/Tonka game. Agree that officiating was a bit shaky, but Hopkins was the better team and had the better scoring chances. Tonka goalie and Fons both played awesome. Good back and forth scoring chances all game. First time I've seen Hopkins out-play a top team. Should be a great section ...

Classic Lake also has some great goalies: Kruger from Tonka, Fons from Hopkins, Simcoe from Wayzata and Ankeny from Edina all give their team a chance to win.

Many thought Hopkins would would be the team to beat in 6AA with most of its key players returning from last year. They're off to a disappointing start, but the season is still young. Also thought Roseau and WBL would be much better.

Looks like a wide open section. Hopkins is loaded with seniors and may be the pre-season favorite.
