In all honesty I don't know of one school that is consistantly successful that hasn't recruited at one time to build their program or to take it to another level. This is how modern programs get built. It happens in almost every sport. Look at Central's girls basketball team last year, someone recr...

Ok, so Mike Marvin tried to recruit kids, I wouldn't doubt that a bit. But let me add this- Mike Marvin has nothing to do with the Window business, the school, or the Arena board. Kind of hard for him to make any offer of work, unless he needs someone to help him herd buffalo. They recruit in Warro...

Sorry, not from Roseau. Not even from northern MN. Sarcasm or not, it's ignorant commentary and uncalled for. Nice try with the graphic though. It really isn't ignorant at all, it's called sarcasm. See, if you've been a member of this "bored" for any length of time you'd know where i was ...

If Warroad opted up to AA, they might as well kiss any state appearances goodbye, let alone state championships... True, Warroad can compete against Roso, but what about Moorhead? If you remember back to 2005, Warroad had the best team in the state and finished with a perfect season... but they sti...

Roseau is unique unto itself and no other program anywhere, especially given the community's size, turns out the number of quality players year after year like they do. No other community has the number of former D1 and professional players return home to raise and coach their kids, either. Kudos t...

IMo, clearly the better team won, but by far the best individual perfromance was by Zane. I have never watched a HS goalie play that well in person, he was amazing. I agree the shots were more like 70-20, TRF was happy just to flip the puck out of the zone to relieve pressure, in doing so they got a...

=D> Right, Warroad is the only town that has recruited! I'm not going to say no one from Warroad has tried to get a player to come to town, but don't try to say no other town in MN has recruited a kid. Actually, i witnessed Roseau's Carpet King himself telling a very good defenseman from Warroad th...

Very true AND even IF they do get out of the sections, one above average puck hog team wont do much at State.

Nobody ever said that any team would compete every single year for the AA crown. Why would you say that it would kill the hockey program of a town to go to AA? I just don't see why you think it would be such a bad thing if Warroad went AA? If you've been reading the board for a while you'd know tha...

It wasn't long ago the Clark goalie was being toted by TRF! ......yeah I doubt that...incase you might have forgotten trf is solid in the net with gothberg...plus has thief ever recruited?...i think warroad is the only team that can't just win on there own....take a look at the goalie from last yea...

..as for warroad won't have anyone next year.. That's a little harsh... Off the top of my head, I can think of Tai Larson and Dane Shaugabay that are more than decent hockey players... Too bad they're juniors... Besides them, there's Nelson, Hebel, Pieper... Warroad doesn't rebuild, they reload... ...

They'll be in the loser bracket. Pretty well done for me, noone cares who ended up 5th-8th at state.

Warroad will probably get out of the Section, but will not compete at the State Tourney. A couple good players, but they tend to play as individuals when they get behind, which will happen at State. One and done for the Warriors.
