Bump. I'm still putting together this list and would love for any input I can get. I'll be asking the varsity coaches if they have these lists as well. When I get as complete a list as I think I can get, I'll post to this forum. Pulled from the Big 9 website (archived from 01-10 seasons) some Manka...

You mean over the last 4 seasons. In 2006 Austin was a #1 seed and played #4 seed East in the semi-finals, with East later advancing to state. thanks for the history lesson, i still have a section championship shirt from that cougar team :D I see the confusion in my words now that I read it over, I...

Early Season Section Rankings 1. Lourdes, Independent 6-0 Undoubtedly the number one, in the section thus far, yet to record a lost, even though I thought they were going to lose to STA, but the game was postponed due to weather. Has a strong schedule that will definitely get them section ready wit...

I went to the game in Faribo Thursday. This kid has great hands. He is the best offensive player I have ever seen in southern Mn. Defensively he could use some work but it is not that bad. As far as his future, D1 talent no question. If Jutting is on the ball he will be wearing a MSU jersey in the ...

It's too bad they could not have placed him on the east to help the struggling program, we sure could use him this year....... East usually ends up getting only the foreign exchange students that can barely skate. They had much better luck with an ex-Minnesota kid who moved back into the area from ...

Does anyone know what is happening with the Big 9 hockey web site? http://sports.smumn.edu/bignine/ This site was loaded with great info, it doesn't look it has been updated at all this year. Someone was putting alot of work into it. My best guess is the site administrator is no longer involved wit...

It's shaping up to be an interesting week as Albert Lea has all 3 Rochester schools; at JM then home against Century and Mayo. Since the Big Nine went back to traditional scoring all these games count and should show a great deal. Century has AL and JM, Mayo has JM and AL. This isn't to disregard a...

A couple of ?s:

1) With the enrollment at 788 why are they closing Central? That's still a fairly sizable high school.

and the far more important question :) :

2) How much will this improve the hockey teams at East and Denfeld?

Re: If you care, WI State Title goes to unranked team

Wisconsin high school hockey is not very good becausethe best players there, like every other state, play midget aaa which is much better than Minnesota high school hockey University School also defeated Blake 4-2 back in November. Blake beat University School 4-2. You have it wrong. Shows how weak...

Small point. They deserve it this year because they won. They didn't deserve it in past years because they lost. Congratulations to a very supportive hockey community.

Yep, 1992. That doesn't count, as far as I'm concerned. '92 Eagle players and fans might not agree with that.  True enough. That team ended with a 8-18-1 record. I don't think they'd mind. Good pt. Can't wait for the eyerolls of all the non Eagle fans at the X when they start doing the ...

The objective of high school athletics is that everyone participates and that every school has the opportunity to be apart of all state tournaments. -I disagree with this. The state tournament is special. Not everyone gets to participate. But my issue is not about one weak section. The problem is t...
