Lwinger3 - I tink Ed will get them fired up right away and I know he will have them working hard off ice also. Best of luck to Ed and the players.

They had to give it to Ed as he’s been coaching for over 20 years, with the Saints the last 3-4 years and was selected assistant coach of the year for that section. This is great for him and the program. Let me know if anyone has heard for sure.

What a talent he must be to get a scholarship from arguabley the top d1 hockey program and have that be his second option if he doesn't get something big for football which he just may.

I personally think people put way to much stock on who made it and who didn't. I'm not sold on this whole advanced thing. Some kids don't even go to tryouts/games and get picked other play really good and no matter what they will not go. To me as a coach, wish this thing wasn't even around. I just h...

I think if you asked most kids and parents if they enjoyed the experience with the elite 2 league a high % would have a lot of good things to say about it. I know parents and players have given that guy over with section 6 much credit for how much fun he made it for the kids. Now can they repeat? Ev...

So does USA Hockey bring to the attention that there are certain players that will already be going to the final 54 and instead of actually looking to fill 54 spots we are looking to fill 20 (or what ever the number is). So the bottom line is USA hockey is not making it an even playing field for the...

Like I said Schmidt is a great player but I guess I'm old school when it comes to things like this, and during a process like this it should be what you did at the time and not what you've done in the past. I'm not at all trying to start anything and trust me I don't have a kid or family member invo...

Can someone explain how a player that doesn't even show up for the weekend makes it to the final 54? Don't get me wrong, Schmidt is a very good player but what does that say about the process.

I will have to check out a meeting. Blueliner5 you seem to be pretty close to the program, how many of these kids will probably leave early for high school? Also does there own high school take freshman if they will only play JV?

I'm pulling for MV in this one. I think they have a good chance. I also agree Civ will have to play big. Also right that not only Civ will have to play huge. Let me say I do think they want to keep it low scoring 2-1 or something. I don't see them putting up 5 on WBL. They've put up 5+ goals in one ...

Is this the year for MV to make a run in sections? You both seem to know a lot about the team. It looks like after this year they loose there top 3 scorers and the top 2 D along with the goalie. There entire 1st line will be gone and next years goalie will have no varsity experience. It looks like t...

Im glad to hear that the bantam team has had a good couple of years but dont you think that some of the success should contributed to the talent of the playe...

MV 3-2 maybe 2-1. Civ rebounds from last game and playes huge. They will control Borher? and pull off the win. Come on Blueliner how can you cheer for those recruiters!

Re: Old bantam coach

The old bantam coach is a great guy and works very hard but does not know hockey well enough to coach at the high school level. I know behind the scenes he is politicking for the job which shows me his true colors so to speak. He would be in way over his head at the high school level. He didn't kno...

I've been watching this thread for some time. I'll start by saying I also agree the goalie is a huge reason they have kept the games closer. Also lets not get over our heads Imissmyhockey CDH is down this year. MV has been outshot 2 to 1 by WBL, 2 to 1 Wood. and 3-1 by Stillwater. Let me say I was a...
