Holy Angels will need to find a guy to recruit players like Trebil did when he first came there. The problem now is all the other private schools followed his model and recruit as well so there isn't the talent level available. I don't see Holy Angels ever becoming what they were in the early 2000's...

I still remember Kraft talking about how he was in it for the long haul and he lives in Lakeville and has kids that will go through the program etc and the parents bought it. That lasted less than two years. There you go Lakeville parents. Please remember high school hockey is an extention of the ed...

Pretty sure that he was the high school coach not the youth program director. Thats what people don't understand. Being a high school hockey coach is 6 + day a week 2nd job for most coaches. That is why youth programs have presidents, appointed coaches etc. High school coaches put a ton of time in ...

Great letter!! Every kid thinking about leaving high school early to play in the USHL, NAHL, Etc should read this letter. Players can and will develop playing high school hockey. Plus it would be nice to have all of our eligiable players players this great game at the high school level and put some ...

Of course it is Random drawing for the four teams that are unseeded in the tournament. What isn't random is who they play. Example would be lets say that Benilde was drawn first. That was random however they chatted and decided that they should play Edina. Then Lakeville South was randomly drawn sec...

How do you know they directly swear at kids? And like I already said, since the incident they have not chewed in front of the team. I think maybe you missed something. And yeah obviously I wouldn't want a coach or teacher doing it in front of any kids, but you act like they haven't changed since th...

I have seen both play! Eagan is a much better team. I know you Moorehead fans love your hockey but in all reality it will be tough to beat Eagan. Should be a great game and I wish both teams the best of luck. All you Moorehead fans have a safe trip down!!

Stopper you are right about that story but why would you say they shouldn't be involved in high school hockey anymore? It was there first year coaching at this level where they probably didn't realize they shouldn't be doing it like they were able to in years past. And from what I've heard since th...

Imagine that! Lakeville playing the 1 seed for the 3rd year in a row. Kloos IS the best offensive player in the state this year. But he is not good enough to beat East and there goaltending is average at best. East should win by 3. Good luck to both teams

Here is a good and true story about the new coaches. Before a game a fan/parent had noticed a player chewing tobacco. This person had informed the coaches about the situation which they should have. When the coaches went to the player to talk about the situation they were also chewing tobacco.A ll a...

Goaltending was why North went to State last year and did so well. Goaltending was the reason North lost the game last night plain and simple. Three of the first 4 goals were VERY soft and put North in a deep hole. Realisitcally, it should have been 1-1 at the end of 2 and that makes it a totally d...

It appears the game went as most thought. North looked unprepared and South took advantage of it in the first period then taking a major penalty at the end of the second and that was all South needed. Congrats to South and good luck at the state tournament. I would expect they will play Duluth East ...

I'll agree with that but it was not specifically designed to deal with South. They used the same formula during the season to beat Eagan and in the tourney to knock off Moorhead and WBL. A hot goalie makes coaches look good! Not good enought apparently. His contract wasn't renewed! :D . The new coa...

Yep, they came up with the "our goalie will make 56 saves plan". If not for Lindgren last year it simply would not have mattered. At the end of regulation I believe the shots were about 45-15. North earned the win but if the coaching staff came up with such an unbelievable game plan then ...

Last year North also came up with a completely different game plan than their two previous meetings during the year which appeared to frustrate Kloos and kept him off the scoring sheet. Then was too gassed to be effective in the overtimes and from what I heard wasn't feeling well anyway. North is go...

Isn't that what parents do in Lakeville drive out coaches without any real reason. They Fired the South Girls Coach after making it to the state tournament and brought in the super staff with Darwitz. Last I checked their season was over. They Fire Schmitz for no real reason the year after they go t...
