Is the transfer rule working

I know we are into the first year of the new transfer rule and would like to hear opinions on what people think. Is this stopping kids from transferring for hockey reasons. I personally don't think it will make much difference. If a kid wants to transfer it is not very hard for parents to move,espec...

I would take those 41 shots against me team any game. 4 straight PP chances with virtually nothing? Not becoming of a #1 seed in any section. Coach making the 1st change often, especially in the 3rd period? Makes no sense when you have a chance to dictate the play. Lourdes looked like a poor man's ...

I saw a different game then all the giddy Scarlet fans on this topic. Lourdes controlled the game from the drop of the puck. The difference in this game was the powerplay. West scored on a 6on5 (pulled golie) in the first and scored later on another powerplay goal. Lourdes went 0/4 in 4 straight po...

Seedings seem to mostly go the way of records against each other...So here is my guess... 1. STA --- Just a darn good team 2. Marshmellow--- Beat every one else 3. Warroad --- Same as above 4. St. Cloud Cath. --- Can beat any of the above (This is my Darkhorse champ) Will discuss more after t...

Being a 1A virgin and attending the game tonight, what should I watch for? Who should I watch for? Can I get a quick scouting report on the game? Empire. here's a quick report on both teams. West - can score in bunches. Top line of Litchfield, Leivermann and Deopere - high powered. leiverman...

I'm gonna say no matter who wins, lourdes or west they will get the 4 seed at the state tourney. They will not give it to West because of one quality win, which will be over Lourdes in the section championship if they win because they haven't beat anyone to this point. If Lourdes makes it along wit...

Nice article in Mondays Rochester paper. Coach Gill is quoted as saying this game will go along way toward seedings. He's convinced if they beat West they will get the 1 seed. Nice things to say about both teams. Sorry I don't have the link. Saw it online Monday.
Should be a good game

This is sounding kind of bogus. Doesn't even sound like there was a warning. Of course I wasn't there, so I can't say for sure. Something seems to be missing. No warning, nothing. Like I said, the goalie has done this every time this year and it has never been called. Everyone was baffled. Ironic t...

Leivermann to the Mavericks

Mankato Free Press is reporting that Senior forward Corey Leivermann has verbally committed to play his college hockey for the hometown Mavericks. Article states that it has always been his dream to play for the Mavs since he moved to Mankato in 4th grade. Leivermann will play 1 or 2 years of Junior...

Re: Rule?

I have a question on a rule. Last night in the Mankato West-Farbault game the referee called a penalty I have never seen called. After West scored their 2nd goal, the team skates to the bench to slap hands and the goalie comes from his crease to meet them also as he has done on every goal they have...

Re: sominnscout

geez scout, I'm no West fan but they are undefeated, I know the rap on West, we all do, you've made that case many times. if people like you keep dissing `em and underestimating them, they can use that to their advantage. Frankly, I'd post some of your comments in the lockerroom. Time will tell how...

Re: west

Wow .. it sounds like West nearly blew out Northfield in the first five minutes. I am surprised that Northfield stayed with them. I don't think they have the skating team to stick with West, but I give them credit for fighting to stay alive against West. Tell me, did they shoot high to score? 1 Goa...

West 6, Northfield 3 Sorry Northfield, I didn't give you enough credit. It's good to see somebody put some goals up on West for a change. Goaler West came out flying and were up 3-0 two minutes into the game. Played probably the best period I have seen them play. Score could have been 6-0 had they ...
