A MORE accurately phrased question might just be, "How many kids on the Sleepy Eye team this year ARE from New Ulm?"CherryPicker99 wrote:How man kids on the New Ulm team this year were from Sleepy Eye? I don't care but just curious. I remember a kid with the nickname Bear (don't remember his real name) and a beltz kid that were good players from Sleepy Eye around the 2000 time. Also, does the Sleepy Eye rink still have the chairs from the old Met Center?

Yes, Met Center chairs still there.
Not sure about whereabouts of the 2 players.
Ended up at Gustavus.
Really solid athlete, also played FB and Baseball.

The following was pulled from the section reasignments thread. Is this a change from years past? Does Marshall have a coop they can drop? I know they are a couple classes bigger in other sports than most in Section 3A.CherryPicker99 wrote:They'll petition down to A.lamplighter98 wrote:Did I see right that Marshall went AA?CherryPicker99 wrote:No changes to Section 3A. The Section 3A thread lives on!
Considering the chance they aren't eligible to "petition" down, what would this do to Marshall's program? This would hurt them right? Bettman>?hockeydad wrote:According to the MSHSL website:
There are no appeals to the placements. There are three ways these could change:
A school drops an activity.
A new school adds an activity.
A cooperative agreement is formed or dissolved.
If your school or team is not doing one of the above, you will play in the assigned section for the next two years. There are no appeals.
The part about cooperative sponsorship could affect a few placements, since they could go down from AA to A by dropping a school.

Not sticking up for whinner but Luverne did go 1-2 at State last year if that was what you were getting at. 0-10 is not a good record but at least they've made it 5 years. Hopefully 3A can continue to improve and get a some more wins at the tourney.InigoMontoya wrote:Many would consider 0-10 better than 0-2.Whiner33 wrote:The perfect record is still intact 0-10 at state what a beautiful thing! Congratulations on a great season Eagles!

Is the Marshall facility really going to be that nice? I heard it was going to be very similar to New Ulm's complex...pats12 wrote:Once that place is finished, the 3A semis and final need to be moved there. I still say Gustavus has the best ice South of I-94

Congrats to Toby Sengvongxay on making the 2015 Minnesota AP All State boys hockey team! It's third team but still a good honor.

Whiner33 don't you ever get tried of being such an _ ss! Oh wait I forgot in your world everyone else has their thumbs up their butts because you got all the answers. Your constant complaining has grown old this season. It is no wonder people in Section 3A dislike Luverne so much.Whiner33 wrote:I couldn't agree with you more Sats 81!Sats81 wrote:Congrats to him, not sure how he makes it and Jack McNeely doesn't??CherryPicker99 wrote:Congrats to Toby Sengvongxay on making the 2015 Minnesota AP All State boys hockey team!
