I'm afraid then it would be a very short list.hockeyrube7 wrote:I'd like to see these reposted, and stipulate that you can only vote for kids outside your own program.

This is a kid that any coach would love to have on their team. Big, strong, fast, talented, good kid, etc. The complete package and then some!hockeyrube7 wrote:She is a fantastic player, very skilled, very fast, great shot, and is a big kid too.xwildfan wrote:Danielle Welch - Hastings. She had more scoring opportunities than the entire CDH team last night. It looked like CDH had the no-shoot offense going last night.

I said the same thing on another thread:rubberpickle wrote:a goalie i would have to have on my team is Lea Jondal (New Richmond, WI)... she is one of the best goalies ive seen play and some college will really get a steal
IS SHE REALLY ONLY A JUNIOR!?!?!?

She opened some eyes with a 66 save shutout earlier this year, and routinely faces 40 shots a game.
Most recently, Hunter faced 41 shots in a 1-0 loss to Apple Valley. What is most telling is the total number of shots recorded by Kennedy in that game-- 4. When the ice is tipped that far to one end night after night, any goalie who withstands that kind of pressure deserves serious recognition. I'm sure there are some other unknown goalies, probably on outstate teams, who deserve the same recognition.
One Goalie that isn't from MN but deserves this sort of credit is the New Richmond G - Lea JONDAL. Some college coach will pick this kid up and have found an OUTSTANDING goalie (IMHO) - a Jr or Sr I think - wish I had compelte stats...:

How many tough teams has Alex played though? Not very many, so obviously a goalies stats will look more deciving. Not saying Justice isn't a good goalie, but I think if Alex had a few tougher games scheduled, the stats might be a lil' different. Alex has only had two close games, one where Justice wasn't even at the game, and the other one was against an actual decent team, Tech. They've only played one other tough team, Moorhead. All the other games so far have had six goal defecits and above.

Since when were any of the kids insulted because of where they live or what they're budget allows? Saying they should play better teams doesn't exactly scream they aren't any good because they are from Alex or because of a poor budget, now does it? And please, would all three of you just act a little more mature for everybody's sake?
Also this thread was for ALL-STAR JUINORS 11th grade now.I never insulted anybody! I told you my opinion. And I told you Delzoppo & Williams.I have seen alot of girls hockey in the last 4 years and this class is loaded with excelent players around the state! Thats not taking anything away from the Alex team. The way your talking Alex is some kind of a "freak"in allstar team!

Gopher9,
you obviously pay more attention to the offense than defense. Holmes (Alex) is better than "average". A skater does not become all state hon. mention, All conference, a CODP player for 4 years, a 19U US CODP player (with Lenny Vennilli) a player for the Minnesota team that was champions at Hockey Night In Boston (2006) with Marci Bydlon (I could keep going) if she is just "average". You need to watch her some more, you'll see.
Yes, the outcome of games played with stronger teams would be alot different than so far this year for Alex. And I am sure you will see that when Alex goes to state again this year.

Remember its your opinion. I obveously see alot more metro area games than you do! And their is alot of real good "D" out there. Just because Alex makes it to the state in a weak section doesnt mean that there whole team is a bunch of All Stars! Has she ever made it past the 1st phase of the NDP tryouts?
