All good with the so called freight train....We were having a discussion of which color kool-aid to drink out of the cup this year! LOL...

That is correct....All is good with the 2000 Machine and especially its coaching staff!!!

I would like to thank the Icemen for their support in coming out and watching us play a solid Bauer Selects team in the Championship.

Yes 2000 Icemen coaches, parents and players were out routing for their MN competition, how odd is that?

AND YES they were actually routiung for their fellow Minnesotans, eventhough they were wearing those cheap orange jerseys..:)

We should all take a lesson from them! That showed a ton of class!!!

These are just 10 and 11 year old kids last I checked!

Congratulations to the Minnesota Youth Hockey alums who have contributed to a spectacular Stars and Stripes moment, as announced by the President tonight. From those who are on the ground in Afghanistan and Iraq to those who have been deployed and redeployed over the past decade, you have made it possible for us to continue to bicker about silly hockey games and call strangers "nut jobs." Thank you for your service, dedication, and commitment to the mission. You are the deserving and select members of the real Minnesota Made machine.  And your uniforms are the best looking uniforms in America.

Thank you to the Minnesota Youth Hockey Alums who have worn, are currently wearing, and are preparing to wear real uniforms for your courage and sacrifice.

As the President said tonight, "Justice has been done."  This is a real Stars and Stripes moment.

Now, back to hockey. Does anyone know why the Championship game and third place scores are not posted under the "final" results for the '98 tournament?

The finals aren't listed for the 97's or the 02's either.

Big turnaround at the 99 level with the Selects turning the tables in a big way with a 7-1 victory over the Machine. Anyone with any insight as to what happened?

jabber wrote:00 Icemen hardly put a "scare" into the Machine as noted earlier in the semifinal. Shots were 70+ to 12 or so in favor of the Machine. The Icemen goalie was the MVP for sure! When the parents cheer a slapshot for an iceing, you know it wasn't even close. No moral victories to be had from this game for the Icemen.

Machine beat the Bauer Selects for the second time in three weeks 3-0 in the championship. Only the second loss (and shutout) in 2+ years for the 00 Bauer team. Bauer was out chanced by at least 2-1 and game was never indoubt after the first. Machine rolled all lines as it did in the Icemen game and the rest of the weekend so no one has to worry about kids not getting enough development time or the bench being shorted by another Machine team.

Apparently winning heals all - Machine coaches all walked out of the rink holding hands today!

And Lakeville North HS didn't scare anyone this year either. Chip and a chair and some anxiety was created.

No class! He constantly rips the Blades program and then cries when something is said about the Machine....? 10 and 11 year olds with a 5 year old coach.....? He must have been drinking last night.

I will say that the Machine have some great players and parents. It's too bad that a few nutty parents and coaches have to act so childish.

I'm not sure if you can read, but, I'm from FL the Icemen are from Maple Grove. My biggest problem w/youth hockey is I enjoy it!!!! [even w/nutjobs like you] Talk later have to go to Richfield for practice.[I'll be @ next door to the rink]
I've read your posts lauding the Icemen; I thought maybe you knew something about them.

Absolutely. No reason to bring it up, we're never been in hiding on hear like some.

Scott's actions and comments tells me it's more about the kids and the people then the "w". Is he competitive, yes - we all are - and he can be (and is) great person and coach to.

And your posts wreak of class no doubt. Saying someone "must have been drinking" and calling them a "5 year old" or a "lowlife" in another thread. I actually went back and looked at some of his previous posts and the majority of them were either saying something good about the Blades or trying to put a positive spin on things. There are a couple of posts he calls out the Blades for not playing the Machine, but is he wrong? You may have a personal vendetta against this coach or MM but your words speak volumes over the accusations you throw out.

As for the tournament, someone already pointed out having the scores updated online faster. For this to become a top tournament in the country this HAS to be done. Especially when it's posted right on the site that scores will be updated 3 times daily after each round. The '97 final results still aren't updated. Other than that it's a great tournament with some top of the line competition.

Top teams, he has done a great job of bringing in national invite teams. I'msure as he connects more w/other programs thru his Fire teams it will only get better. We haven't seen the Caribu yet, but looks to me like the top event in Mn. Good job Bernie. Congrats to all the kids!!!!!

](*,) Do I need to quote his Blades comments on here? Bernie could of allowed the kids to play in the Brick  Yes, It's like being a five year old to bash another program and then cry about someone else's comments......
Ready for a straight jacket or drinking is the only two things I can come up with....... sorry to say

The only one i saw doing any recruiting was the 99 Blades coach trying to get some Bauer select players for the Subway Classic. How that for developing local talent.
