Go to the Geodent site

Post by Dickie Dunn »

Ok now fellas like the other guy said this thread is: Who is the best individual in Section 8A - Not who has the freshest breath. Go to the Geodent site and look at the ratings....If you look at the Class A Senior forwards Aaron Marvin is #1 and Joe Schiller is #7. Next look at the Class A Junior forwards the top Section 8A Junior forward is Bryce Ravendalen at #6 followed closely by Jeremy Hahn at #10. Frankly, I didn't see the Lehrke kid anywhere in the top 20 Junior Forwards in Class A. You guys better e-mail the Geodent site that puts that list together and straighten them right out. SiouxRecruit as for your assessment of Lehrke as the top Junior I trust the scouts way more than a campaign manager. Oh, now I get to hear how that's just some scouts that don't know anything and it's just a list. I see SiouxRecruit resolve is finally breaking as he can't seem to convince people of his candidate. Hey Mullett nice hair-do. :P

Ok....that's a good thing....but what is your post suppose to mean? I'm curious who are you trying to slam? Is it the kid that bailed on Park Rapids to go to Warroad a couple years ago or is it someone current?

I'm not trying to slam anybody. Marvin is a great player. He gets more attention because he plays for Warroad who have been a historically great program. If Warroad loses Marvin, can they compete? My guess is yes. Not as good of a team but still compete. How about if Park Rapids loses Lehrke or DL loses Schiller. Both teams would have a tough time in section 8.
Why should kids from other towns be downgraded because they don't play in Warroad?

State Champ 97 are you the Sioux Recruit too? That's who I was directing my question too. I didn't see where anybody downgraded another player because they don't play in Warroad? I'm also curious what sport was the Sioux Recruit recruited for. Now I'll toss a slam...don't PR and DL already have a tough time in Section 8?

Show me...I stay away from commenting on individual players except to praise them or when some knuckleheads try to sell dead fish.

Yes you are wrong....Oshie's dad works at the HS and coaches the JV. Also, what am I missing....that your trying to toot the horn about someone that hasn't reached the same level as another player. In fact aren't you the one who started this thread asking who the BEST individual player in Section 8A is? You didn't get the answer you were looking for so you start to P & M. I have one other question if your from TRF WHY are you trying to sell the Lehrke kid as the best individual hockey player in the section.

There’s your problem you live in trf and have watched him one time. Yea he’s going to look like god playing with the kids he plays with, put him on a top team playing other top teams and he just looks like a good player.

Hey recruit, it doesn't really matter. Dickie was right about one thing. If we all thought the same kid was the best, what would be the point of the discussion. I know we all agree that Marvin and Lehrke, and Schiller for that matter are all great players. Whose better? Depends on what your looking for. We all have our biases. After all, at least these three great players didn't "transfer" to a private school.

False----I watched him a handful of times last season, I disagree, you put him on a good team with other good players and he would still stand out, maybe even more. He is the type of player that makes others better, and maybe that is what we should be looking at here. They both control the game in their own way, we know that, but who has more ability to make the players around them better???

Alright Dickie. Let's look at what the mullet said.
who has more ability to make the players around them better???
I have to go with Lehrke since I believe Warroad has a better team. Park Rapids is still winning. No they do not play as difficult of a schedule as Warroad but that is the choice Warroad makes.

BESY PLAYER IN SEC. 8

YOU REALLY HAVE A POLL OF WHO IS THE BETTER FORWARDS. AS FAR AS PLAYERS GO I WOULD PICK JOHN CLARK AND MIKE BENEDICT ON MY TEAM BEFORE THOSE 3.

The discussion if you want to call it that is: As Sioux Recruit asked "Who is the BEST INDIVIDUAL IN SECTION 8A." Not who has freshest breath, the best fashion sense, the nicest butt, the cutest girlfriend, the best grades, the nicest car, the hardest schedule, the better team or who has the ability to make their team better. Try twist it anyway you want....It is a very simple question and the answer is....not a junior from PR. ](*,)

Yes I have, I have seen him at a summer camp and he wasn't even the best player in his group. I also watched the Section tourney last year was he supposed to stand out there cuz he didn't or did he bloom this summer?
