Interesting first post? Did you join us hypocrites because you had some value to add or are you going to be the gatekeeper for CDH's feelings? #-o
A first post needs to start somewhere, so why not here. Not that I really care about CDH but EP is highly overrated. I thought it was humorous that Panny insulted CDH being number 10 yet they beat #5 EP. You see the humor in this, right?

To quote Denny Green "The Raiders were who we thought they were and we let them off the hook".
Lets break this down...
Not that I really care about CDH but EP is highly overrated. (EP is highly overrated so why is this a big win for CDH?)
I thought it was humorous that Panny insulted CDH being number 10 (not insulting anyone. As 36 stated, and the results show, CDH has had a tough start.)
You see the humor in this, right? (Where is the humor?)

CDH skates 9 kids and runs out of gas against anyone that can skate. I understand why the 9 kids attend CDH, I just hope the rest of the kids are there for the "education".

Also... I do miss Sticks Green!

Pan, yes EP is overrated!!! My point was that you thought CDH was ranked higher than they should be, my point is EP is ranked higher than they should be. Lets agree to agree on this and we all go home winners.

Take it slow, and let the good times roll.

Two of our three games are listed as final, with result of the Chaska/Chanhassen vs. New Prague still not posted.

Thief River Falls 0, Minnetonka 7
Annelise Rice and Katie McMillan each scored twice to lead the Skippers over the Prowlers at the Pagel Activity Center. Rice also added an assist for a three point night, which Presley Norby also accomplished with a goal and two assists. Tatyana Delaittre stopped all 14 shots that Thief River Falls put on net to get the shutout.
One oddity on the box score: It shows Minnetonka only getting 2 shots on goal (scoring on both) in the first period, then erupting for 25 SOG in the second period? If accurate it would be interesting to know what turned it around for them.

In our contest all but two had Tonka winning, and there was one – massalsa - who also got the score right.

Proctor/Hermantown 0, Blake 1
CC Wallin scored an unassisted goal at 3:17 of the 2nd period, and that was enough for the Bears to get past the Mirage. Blake’s Olivia Bizal stopped all 10 Mirage to make Wallin’s tally stand up.

All but one add a point, but all who did thought the score differential would be far greater. Everybody who had Tonka winning had them scoring at least 4 goals, and the average predicted score for everybody was 5.2 to 0.9. So, kudos to the Mirage – especially their goaltender, Amy Lemenager – for holding Blake to just the one goal.

I'll post an updated standings once the third game is shown as final.

I see that this afternoon's Lakeville South/Eagan game has been cancelled due to yesterday's tragic car accident in which two students were killed:

"Lakeville South canceled all after-school activities Friday, including a varsity boys basketball game against Wayzata and a girls basketball game at home against Minneapolis Washburn. Weekend activities also were canceled."

As mentioned above the Lakeville South game was postponed, and so far only one of the other three games has been posted as final.

Thief River Falls 2, Eden Prairie 7
Becca Kniss scored two goals, including what would prove to be the game winner, and added an assist as Eden Prairie toppled the Prowlers 7-2. Other Eagles who had 3 points were Emily McLaughlin, with a goal and two assists, and Naomi Rogge who had three helpers. Shots on goal were 28-22 Eagles.

All but three here pick up a point, but nobody had EP scoring more than five, so no bonus points.

Look for the other two games to be reported later this evening, at which time the final standings will also be posted. Go Gophers! :)

Our final three games which puts a wrap on Week 4:

Breck 8, Orono 0
The Breck Mustangs completely overwhelmed the Orono Spartans in a 8-0 rout on Orono’s home ice. The Mustangs launched 52 shots at Orono’s beleaguered goaltender, Madeline Carlson, while at the other end Sydney Scobee only had to face 13 to get the shutout. Many skaters figured into the scoring for Breck, but leading the way was Cassidy Holzer, who notched a hat trick plus one assist.

All but one predicted Breck would win, most by a healthy margin, but nobody had them scoring more than 6.

Mounds View 2, White Bear Lake 0
Goals by Stephanie Anderson and Bailey Thompson provided all the offense Mounds View would need in their Suburban East Conference tilt at the Vadnais Sports Center. Thompson also assisted on Anderson’s goal, and Teagan Johnson stopped all of White Bears’ 25 shots to get the shutout.

This was the most evenly divided game of the week, with 14 saying Bears and 15 saying Mustangs. However no one had the Mustangs keeping the Bears off the scoreboard completely, so all 15 who favored Mounds View were limited to just a point each.

That concludes Week 4. Congratulations goes to 36Guy, who got the winners all right today and holds onto his narrow lead to get the win, and is our Week 4 Champ. sinbin, Bardown96 and nu2hockey finish just a point behind in a tie for 2nd Place.
