You guys crack me up! I needed some entertaining on a Friday. Seriously, good points and mysterious points made by all. Simply put, BSM got lucky! Even with the constant parade of penalties, they again almost gave it away. 2 goals isn't enough especially when your goalie plays like he did last night. Neither goalie looked sharp, both gave up some weak goals and looked uninterested. Shaky goaltending tomorrow (I believe it was last time BSM played EP) and the race will be over before it starts. EP 6-0!

Given the number of years BSM has been AA and their overall success they are considered a hockey power. I know you wanted your HF team to win a playoff game for once but a poorly coached undisciplined team is hard to win with. 16 for HF crosschecked the ref after the game and that's why he was given the abuse of officials call. I doubt he will be back next year but if he does he should be suspended for minimum of 10 games.
The term "Hockey Power" is diminishing, falling out of the top 10 two years in a row, not winning big games, not scoring goals against good teams and weak goaltending doesn't constitute POWER to me. By the way, you still coaching at SCSU?

I cant believe Ive been off this thread for 8 hours and it is still going strong.

Im reposting my Wednesday comment from a different thread, and my opinion hasnt changed after the Thursday night games. You can call it parity or inconsistency or whatever, but Section 6 has been all drama all the way back to the first of the year, and likely will be all the way to Mariucci next week.

(I will leave it to the reader to as to who is who.)

Of the Section 6 teams in the top 25:

o Only one exceeded its potential and expectation

o Two met potential and exceeded expectation

o One met potential and and expectation

o One met potential but fell short of expectation

o One fell short of both potential and expectation

Win and move on........... and please don't tell me the refs don't have an influence on each and every game........
