Just wanted to comment that I have seen one burn out. So did the parents due to the politics of the different levels of AAA teams at MM and the attitudes of the other parents. The kid is out of hockey now, but I hear he likes skiing a lot.
MNM you are either a child based on your writing in your posts, or an adult of a very young skater. So sad it's difficult to tell the difference. On the likely chance you're just a kid, just have fun playing hockey.
Jet, each time the attack was added to the level it made for an odd number of teams. I agree there are times when adding a team makes sense. in giving bm the benefit if the doubt, he might have done it because the open Tourney's at the older levels were basically flops with so few teams registering.

Seems odd that in our society we can find a way to blame a for profit entity for burning their kid out of hockey. In the end the parent signed their kid up for "extra" hockey...it's on the parent for burning their kid out, not MNM.
If you honestly believe any for-profit entity is going to turn down a person's money for the sake of what's best for them...you are crazeeeeeeee.
As for AAA politics at MM, if your kid is good enough and he's not allowed into the MM/AAA program or the Blades, the kid has options. Politics at an association level is another story, but not at AAA. Sorry.
And association politics is not as bad as most think.

Good point, I had not even looked. Maybe a promise of 8 teams to the outstaters going in, and at the end of the day 5 was better than 4 and 6 was better than 5 respectively? Who knows for sure. Thx.

What is your point "Hockeygirl2" . Me or the Attack team. Or do you just like to stir the pot?
Question is: Will the Machine Black team play under the name Machine Black this weekend or sport the Maroon and Gold tryout jerseys and call themselves the Attack?
Better yet. If they play under the name Machine Black. Will they need to bring in orange players?
