Not sure if this is correct.
If it were just me, Stillwater and White Bear Lake would be AA next year in bantams.
The balance of the AA teams could opt down if they wanted.
Perhaps Rosevill stays AA.
Opting up, I would say HIghland 'yes'.
Maht - no.
That in a two minute review.
Of ocurse, I am not very strict, giving the locals more credit than others may give them.
what is bantam AA i

Of course, I am not very strict, giving the locals more credit than others may give them.
MH has not discussed that so I am guessing the DD and DBoard will decide how that works.
D16 needs to do it if we have any AA teams just to allow for enough games without traveling a great deal more than we already do.
If D2 splits 4 & 4, it may be worth while for them to play each other to lessen travel, but I do not know the logistics.
In my opinion, that is part of MH board members' responsibility.MrBoDangles wrote:Thanks for the info
I may not be right, may have a different opinion than others, but if I cannot stand up and say this is the way it is here and this is the way I see it, and then take the heat of questions and opposite opinions, than I should not have the job (even if the pay is very low) (very, very low).

Want to rethink your comment after the Coon Rapids vs Centennial game last night? Five rounds of overtime for Centennial to get the win, don't think the "little guys" played like crap last night.loveitorleaveit wrote:This whole A/AA split is a joke. D10 took it on to make the little guys feel good about playing at the A level even tho teams like Mora/Coon Rapids/Camb-Isanti wouldn't even make a good B team. Just wait till next year when the whole state goes this way and everyone gets a trophy for playing. "Great job little Johnny - you played like crap - the team lost by 12 goals, but you are playing A hockey".

This only makes my point. You don't get the win for trying hard. I went to the game with my son because hes played with most of the kids on the CR team. This team didn't win a single district game all year. Put them into the B1 level and they would be middle of the pack. They just had a hot goalie. You are right, fun to watch a goalie on his game like that.Hockey Fan101 wrote:Want to rethink your comment after the Coon Rapids vs Centennial game last night? Within the metro, there are certainly some talented kids that stay and play for their local high schools, but there are also a load of them that choose the educational experience of a private school, or the educational experience of a public school with a tradition of winning. Of those kids that choose that experience, the best almost always choose the AA schools over the A schools - if they intend to prove they are the best, they have to play with and against the best. I agree with Bo; I don't think (for the best youth players) it'll be any different.
What problem?

Would any of these programs stay down... if there's the option to opt up or down? *Clue - not a one will OPT down.
Like I've said before.....

- A few lucky programs will be selected and kids will migrate there.
Take your pick because there's only two choices.

Not to distract from your point, but I think some will opt down. They do now. Some Associations choose not to field A teams. In fact, I have seen complaints on this board about assocations that don't filed an A team participating in the B State Tournament. There is the perception of trophy chasing at all levels. STA is the perfect lightning rod for this.MrBoDangles wrote:BadgerBob82, Where would YOU enforce a cutoff from looking at these standings?elliott70 wrote:Pee Wee A standings
