Thanks for the tip, but I just checked and there is no indication on either the Hub or the MSHSL site that anything's changed. Also the original bracket was just posted on the Minnetonka Girls Hockey website 4 days ago: http://www.tonkagirlshockey.com/

...plus I found this [ http://www.weeklynews.com/m/Articles.as ... cleID=9667 ] which was written 5 days ago and it says Blake is playing Roseville.

So until I see something more official that Jefferson and Blake have in fact switched we'll just leave things as they are.

Irondale 2, Stillwater 3

Nordic with the correct score! MinnGirlsHockey and sinbin are tied for the lead with 10 points (Week 6 plus just this one game in Week 7).

Hope to have the other three ABRA scores in later this evening.

The scores and box scores of the first three games of the ABRA Tournament are now posted on the Hub. As noted earlier:

Stillwater 3, Irondale 2
Allison Eder-Zdechlik scored her second of the game with just 26 seconds left to go for the Ponies victory.

As noted above Nordic correctly forecasted the 3-2 score.

Hopkins 3, Grand Rapids/Greenway 1
Mari Mankey scored all three goals for the Royals after Grand Rapids/Greenway had taken a 1-0 lead in the second period. The shots on goal favored Hopkins 31-15.

Both sinbin and KRACH (whose favorite score is 3-1!) pick up the bonus in this one.

Lakeville South 6, Coon Rapids 0
Ari Reid gets the hat trick and Taylor Gustafson a 21 save shutout to lead the Cougars over the Cardinals.

The result for the Duluth/Edina game should be available around 10:00-10:30 at which time the scoreboard will be updated. But after these three games sinbin (13 points) leads the field, with KRACH in close pursuit with 12.

I was wondering if I was having some forum snafu with the post time stamps. They seemed to be changing each separate time I read the thread.

Score from tonight:

Champlin Park 3, Buffalo 2

This game was televised on Channel 12 in the NW Suburbs. Two evenly matched teams and one that could have gone either way.

Knight7 and Nordic both got the score right and pick up the bonus point. This enabled Nordic to pull into a three-way tie for first, with sinbin and KRACH - all with 14 points.

The two Edina ABRA games are still pending, and once those scores are in I'll post an updated leaderboard.

Looks like our second game tonight was a real defensive battle:

Hopkins 1, Stillwater 0

Jillaine DeYoung scored the only goal of the game at 5:32 of the 3rd period, and Hopkins netminder Erin O'Neil stopped all 28 shots she faced for the shutout.

Nordic (along with just four others) had the Royals winning this game and advancing to tomorrow's championship game. At least for now, Nordic holds the lead with 16 points, with sinbin and KRACH tied for second at 14.

Our final game was another hard fought, competitive contest:

Edina 3, Lakeville South 1

Edina scored all three of their goals in the 3rd period for the win. They ended up outshooting the Cougars 20-14.

In our contest Nordic finally stumbles a little bit, having picked Lakeville South to win and advance. This allowed sinbin and KRACH to crawl back into a three-way first place tie at 16 points each:

1. sinbin - 16
Nordic - 16
KRACH - 16

4. MNHockeyFan - 15 ( hanging in there :) )
capitalpride - 15
Hieronymus - 15

7. MinnGirlsHockey - 14
hockeyfan87 - 14
Otter - 14

10. Knight7 - 13
FlyingWarrior - 13

12. hckynut12 - 12

13. Three tied at 11

16. Two others

On tap tomorrow: the Hopkins/Edina ABRA Championship game and Eagan vs. Blaine at Eden Prairie.

A bit of an upset this afternoon:

Eagan 4, Blaine 0

Eagan's Megan Wolfe scored the first three goals of the game for the pure hat trick, and Brianna Kozemzak stopped all 14 shots she faced to get the shutout.

Only three prognosticators predicted Eagan would come out on top, and nobody guessed the 4-0 score. So this game had little effect on our leaderboard, except that MinnGirlsHockey does move into a four-way tie for 2nd Place, with 15 points. sinbin, Nordic and KRACH continue to lead with 16.

I hope to have a final update later on this evening, after the Edina/Hopkins result is posted.

Hmmm, the Hub is showing the Edina/Hopkins score (2-1) as a Final, and it includes the box score. But this game was supposed to START at 7:30 :?: Can anyone confirm the score and that it is a final?
