I remember being there aswell, I only caught the last period, but the place went crazy when the hornets scored.

I was waiting for someone to mention that game. I was very young was well but remember the game quite vividly, but didn't know how to describe it.

Unreal Edina ties it with 4 seconds left off a faceoff.

Another one I wasn't alive for but my uncle was the captain of Minnetonka in 84 or 85 when they had to finish the game against Jefferson the next morning. And lost *tear*.

And finally last year Section 2 & 6 finals Tonka-BSM and Edina-Burnsville. Burnsville goalie played the game of his life, probably the best night of hockey i've been in attendance for.
Stay Classy, Minnesota.

Double overtime, and their was no conservative play during the overtimes. I didn't have a rooting interest in either team and I was drained after that one. I can only imagine what the fans of the two teams must have felt like.

Not to side track things, but where is Dano Jacques playing this year?
I can't tell if that is sarcasm or not
I went to a fight, and a hockey game broke out.

 No, sorry, I could see how it could be interpreted that way, but that was not my intent. I've been searching some rosters this year and haven't been able to find his name anywhere.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the classic 1994 Section 8AA final at the National Hockey Center in St Cloud (I must be too old).

Moorhead 4 Elk River 3 (4OT)

Matt Cullen, Ryan Kraft, Josh Arnold vs. Dan Hinote, Erik Day, Woody Glines. It was absolutely nuts in there - a treat to be at.

The only other game I've been to that compared to that one was the 1996 semifinal between East and Apple Valley that everyone has mentioned already.

Some runner-ups - I was at the Tonka/Benilde and Edina/Burnsville Section Final games last year. Edina/Warroad tilt in 1988 semifinals (2OT) also.

Goldy 313 brought up some classics...

I also remember the mid-80's with some great games in St. Paul...

Some that come to mind are:

Public vs. Private:
Burnsvile vs. Hill Murray in the 83, 85, and 86 finals. All great games. The 85 game was awesome when Scott Bloom scored the winner with about 45 seconds left.
The Hill vs. Burnsville 7-5 regular seaon game was awesome too...Burnsville stormed from way back (7-1 I think) to make it close, then won 4-1 in the title game.

The 1984 Johnson vs. Hill game was great!

David vs. Goliath:
JM vs. Edina
Edina vs. Roseau (those late 70's games were unreal with awesome teams....all three had TONS of D-I players and future pros)

Burnsville vs. Duluth Denfeld and Warroad (87 I think)....I don't think Larry Olimb ever left the ice in that game vs. Burnsville. The Braves won 5-3, but the entire building was pro-Warroad Warriors outside of the Burnsville fans...incredible atmosphere.

The 1990's saw Jefferson dominate until the Hounds and Dave Spehar ended the run...of course the 1996 AV vs. Duluth East game....I sat on the edge of my couch for hours watching that one.
MAYO SPARTANS!
