Mr Moore I commend you in representing your AAA hockey club in a admirable fashion. Back in the day I used to socialize w/ Mr Hawkinson whom ran Showcase Hockey, a good man. I don't know this Mr Capra, but I assume he has a position financially to gain as a employee of showcase enterprises.

Perhaps what Showcase/Easton is finding is that there is other softdrinks out there, or beer for those that only know Bud, or Miller. Thus they are trying to defend the nest egg. You see the difference between Bud and Miller is they know how to compete and earn more customers. This Hockey competition is new, and since they have not had competition they may run themselves into the ground trying to figure it out.

The Blades organization that says is not affiliated was the only Non profit team Capra/Showcase claimed to be part of the alliance. Which we now learn the Blades were not. So the Alliance is 100% profit.... hmmm..
Alliance is Cyclones, Easton, Machine, and other MN Made teams.
The Machine is the Machine and despite losing their 95, they will have a top team at each age, but they will not play in these trnys, so how long before these out of state teams say thanks for the invite but no thanks...
Overall these teams are currently ahead of the "Alliance" minus the Machine : They are the Icemen, Edge, Lake Superior Stars, and at some levels RBK, Islanders,Mavericks, and Magicians. In fact some of these teams won the Showcase/Easton invites last year.

You see we are in time of change, were the develop of young athletes was done by volunteers... now our great country is being asked to get accustomed to private enterprise making a profit on what our dads ( and moms ) did for the love of teaching.... Even in AAA, there is a few clubs out there... some may not have the long term track record as the Blades, but they maybe modeling them, you don't need to go "for profit".

To those that are in it for the right reasons : go Blades, Icemen, Edge, Mavericks, Storm, L.S. Stars, Islanders, and many more I have omitted...
Magicians, RBK, you guys are for profit too.

Good post but would like to point out that Capra is employed by Showcase as the Showcase League Director and would assume than he works for the president, Hawkinson. So the persons you referred to as the so called "good man" in your post is actually the guy pulling the strings on this Alliance business and Capra is his puppet.
