Casilla is my man! I loved him when they called him up 2 years ago and was disappointed when he didn't make the most of his shot following the Castillo trade and again when he didn't make the team out of camp this year, but boy has he stepped up. He is perfect for the #2 hole, pretty much reminds me of a young Castillo and a poor man's Jose Reyes. Brings some fire and flair to a team that badly needs it, I hope I can get my Casilla jersey now without fear of him not being on the team.

I like to think of Interleague Play as Comissioner Selig's version of the stimulus check. I tell ya, there's nothing that lowers the stress level in a check to check household faster than the gift of free money. As for the Twins bank account, these 18 softies couldn't have arrived at a more needy time.
Still not sure what that final deposit will be but the barn if filling nicely at the moment.

There is an old saying "Make haywhile the sun shines".
Well, the sun is shining and the Twins are doin it.
When IL play started a few years ago, I was surprised at the weak NL lineups. Not much has changed. The Twins look like the '27 Yankees compared to some of these NL teams.
Keep that combine churning.

4 more games and the 1st crop of Hay is in the shed.
By the end of the weekend the Twins will be starting on the 2nd crop, hopefully the sun will continue to shine.
And on real good years there is a precious 3rd crop of Hay,lets hope the Twins are still throwing bales in October.
Packerboy, not picking on your knowledge of farm machinery but you don't combine Hay. We use a Haybine.

You know you are making hay when game day reads:
Scott Baker singles on a line drive to right fielder Brian Giles.
You know you are really making hay when game day reads:
Justin Morneau singles on a ground ball to right fielder Brian Giles, deflected by first baseman by Adrian Gonzalez. Scott Baker scores.
Makith more Hay I Say

Haymakers
Twins 12-3
Royals 12-3
Red Sox 10-5
Rays 10-5
Orioles 10-5
Tigers 10-5
Shall a deluge of summer rains, locust, or some mutant grass eating cousin of the boll weevil take over the Dome this weekend and shut down the harvest the Twins will have at least played .733 ball during a very important stretch of the season.
No word on if the team sporting a tassel of grass on its uniform is even going to show up for this one.
Stay tuned.

Shanty said its time to make hay, and the boys have been making it, making it, making it.

packerboy said they'd need this guy to chop into the White Sox lead. 'Ol Paul has worked up a sweat and whittled the lead down to a half game.

Now this guys coming to town with his "just a bit outside" shtick. Shtick it to 'em boys...
