I will agree that there is talent in Roseau this season. I had the pleasure of watching Ness during the elite league. I don't think I've see a player with as much ability. He did a fantastic job quarterbacking his teams power plays.

They may very well prove themselves the best come March. No doubt all these team will be fun to watch as thing start to wind down towards sections.

So you want us to form an opinion after the beat St. Cloud Tech 4-1??? Tech is now 1-8 against AA teams............ That is not a good showing. Roseau has talent, but they are yet to prove anything this year. Even after they play Blaine, they still will not have proved anything. They can't do anything about it, but they just don't play a tough enough schedule to actually show something during the regular season.

Ratings

by Green and White Fan
Ratings are nothing more than someones opinion. Who says these city teams are better than TRF or EGF or Warroad? Someones computer? Neutron is funny. He ranks a number of teams higher than Roseau and that is fine. I didn't see Edina, Minnetonka, Hill Murray, BSM, Hopkins or any of the others hop on a bus a make the trip to play in Memorial. He fails to mention that Hopkins, if you want to use rankings, plays a schedule where the average rank of opponents is 60, BSM 58, Hill Murray 52. Roseau is at 57. He doesn't mention that Blaine has lost 6 times, Minnetonka has lost to teams rated 20 and 26, Rosemount lost to Brainerd who Roseau just skated past 7-0. Hill has lost to teams rated 47, 49 and tied 45. He can make his case for Edina and time will tell who is the best come March. It is tough to go undefeated and the Rams will have their hands full this Saturday against Blaine. Are the Rams a good team? You bet they are! Are they the best team in the state? Time will tell. Will Neutron's jealousy persist? You can bet on it!

I have heard that Neut is a jealous guy but what about Roseau's schedule Green and White?

Do we just ignore it and base our opinions on what the Roseau fans are saying?

HAL has the Rams schedule ranked #47.
Edina's and Minnetonka's are ranked in the top 5.

Neut has told me privatley that he thinks Centennial could go undefeated with the Rams schedule.

We dont see them except once on TV vs Warroad. Get the bus gassed up and play in the Scwans Cup, eh?

How do you give Roseau no# 5 they are undefeated. I get a kick out of everyone complaining about their schedule, you don't think these other teams play some lesser teams. Refused to play Rosemount, where do you get that information from. And what I am wondering why would they play them, not in there section or confrense I believe and I am sure at any given point if you come on up to Ram Country will find a rink and have a game (any team) You should of went to the games this weekend and them formed an opinion, They have proved there worthiness all season and deserve the no# 1 spot.
this information bolded is true the reason has to deal with what happend last year though

I don't know... I agree with hockeydude.

Roseau lacks star power... I mean, who do they really have on their team? Nobody that I can think of.

God everyone who said Roseau is overrated should stop posting on this board. When you have Ness, Landman, and Lee you have a great team and all you Irish guys who think JT Brown is the best player in high school hockey, get real guys. He is a good player but Ness is so much better than him no question about it. Do you remember last years state tourney? The guy was the best player on the ice in every game.

They played Farmington in Roseau. They have been averaging one trip a year to the metro. Last year two trips. I still have my challenge going. Nobody is biting.

The argument is Edina being better then roseau which they are easily if you have seen both teams play. If you compare Ness, Landman, and Lee to Edina's talent there is no argument that edina wins there and Edina proved more in the Minnetonka game then roseau has this whole seaon.
Roseau 4-2 Crookston 2-15-1 not a very impressive score for a team you want to rank #1. Roseau will just see how overrated they are when march roles along if they make it(which they should considering they are in the second easiest section).

Edina easlily has more talent then Roseau. Edina has Budish who is arguably better then Ness, Anders Lee, Marshall Everson, Connor Gaarder, Joe Gleason, Brenden Baker, and Derrick Caschetta in goal. Edina did prove more in that game because Roseau has not even played a top ten team in the state so how can the be considered the best in the state. Edina, Minnetinka, BSM, and Hill would probably all look better then Roseau with the teams Roseau plays. Rankings are not about who is undeafeted and who won the state championship LAST SEASON they are about who is the best team and Roseau is not the best team.
