Would the world come to an end?
Indeed, the world would end. Pigs would fly, White Bear would win a first round game at State, and Moorhead would win a championship game. Mike Randolph, that Wicked Witch of the East, would melt away into oblivion, while all the private schools would be raptured and ascend to their own, new class.
I'm at the point where I don't care at all what seed East gets. They'll have to beat 3 moderately challenging to very challenging opponents to get where they want to go. If they can't do it, they don't deserve it. It's a mindset a few other programs could stand to learn from...

Exactly... Well said... The only gimme game is the 1 vs 8... After that anything really could happen.. You need to put 3 games together..

Do you have any idea how much time and effort some of these people put into these smoke screen arguments. We wouldn't want to put less emphasis on reputations, mystique, and past trips to the state tournament!
"Don't you know who we are? We used to be somebody and if you make us stand on our 2014-2015 record, then we aren't very good. Our SOS is awesome and yours is terrible! Never mind that we lose half of our games. That's because we have to play the top 5 teams in the state every night."
You just aren't very good this year. It's OK.
Now that STMA is relevant they will have to get used to the seeding process. Welcome to 7AA. it is very entertaining...
I would bet on either Elk River or Rapids getting out of this section this year.
STMA and East are wild cards, I'd say. East has a challenging schedule and while they have looked competent against top teams in the state, they haven't beaten any of them. Hard to get a feel for STMA with that terribly weak schedule. They'll have to prove themselves, in my opinion. I'd be more afraid of East come Sections until then.
I would definitely not count out Cloquet either.
By the way, where did all these STMA fans come from?? Crawling from the woodwork! Rapids fans may have some competition.

Never could get Andover to come out of the woodwork last year? Good luck with the SOS at the meeting.

I would not want to play Cloquet at their barn - if they somehow manage to grab the 4th seed

Why do you live on the 7AA forum? Nobody paying attention to your squad or do you just post and read them over and over so you can chuckle at you highly insightful comments?
If I were a Duluth East or Rapids fan I'd start to worry. Cloquet is a legitimate threat to move up. If they win out, which means wins over East and STMA, they have shot at the 3 seed, maybe even a two seed. The 2-5 seedings are really going to be interesting if that happens. Since STMA lost to Breck their weak schedule is really going to hurt them come seeding time, Rapids can clinch #2 if they win out, but I think they'll lose to Moorhead. This is going to be fun to watch.
Elk River goalie was outstanding tonight, Centennial had several great scoring chances. Kiersted missed most of the Blaine game and they can't be without him to succeed. Their other top D-man is close to returning, played JV tonight in first game back. looking forward to the Hounds Saturday.

Agreed, great game by Meyers, shutout with 28 saves. Any idea why Lutz left the game early?

How does an STMA 4-2 loss to Breck (top 4-10 in A ) count bad against them when everyone thought STMA would lose and lose badly because they haven't played anyone? Isn't Breck a top A team which you all try to hype up when you play? The Breck goalie played well.. Would a win have helped? Yes... But I don't see how this loss 2-4 really hurts compared to East losing 3-5 to Anoka (who tied Andover tonight)..
.
Cloquet had a nice win tonight... I still see the winner of Cloquet/STMA getting the 3 seed

crw...If I were you I'd just be happy to play a home game in the 7AA Qtr. Finals. The fact is STMA does....through no fault of your players...play a WEAK schedule, especially compared to the schedules ER, DE, GR play...end of story.
In the end, all 3 of those teams, and maybe Cloquet...will be seeded above STMA...if you beat Cloquet it should secure STMA the 4th seed...that's simply reality (considering how the politics work in 7AA seeding) whether you want to believe it or not. I mean...your next game 3 games are against Chisago Lakes, North Branch and Monticello...need I say more?

I don't think I've ever said anything other than yes STMA does not have the same schedule as others.. Point being if your going to schedule those games and continue to bark about SOS, then win some of those games..
As for where they play in QTR finals. I don't think there is even a doubt that they will be playing a home game but to be honest I don't think the kids care where they play in fact they might even actually play better on the road as they have always prided themselves since squirts to go into someone else's house and knock them off..
Myself, I would rather not have to leave work early and travel for a week night game.
Who knows, it's getting down to crunch time though..

I agree with you in one aspect. THis is gonna be fun to watch. But if you think that Cloquet has a snowballs chance in h*ll of moving up to the #2 spot and ousting Rapids you really do need to seek help. It is out there. Either rehab or good strong drugs to make the voices in your head go away. CLoquest has played a schedule that is tougher than STMA's (which is not saying much) is but no where near what East or Rapids played. I think that you could make an argument for the 3,4,5 spots being in play at this point but that is as far as I would go.
StMA
vs. Chisago Lakes Area
at North Branch
at Monticello/Annan/Maple Lake
at Woodbury
vs. C-E-C
vs. Buffalo
Duluth East
at Elk River/Zimmerman
at C-E-C
at Blaine
at Lakeville South
vs. Minnetonka
Grand Rapids
at Moorhead
vs. International Falls
vs. Duluth Denfeld
Cloquet
vs. Duluth East
at Superior
at St. Michael-Albertville
at Proctor
StMA needs to win out to have a chance at #2, a chance. Winning out will give them #3.
Duluth East wins out they will be #2.
Grand Rapids should be #2 but losing to Denfeld or IFalls will drop them.
Cloquet wins out they will be #3.

East's schedule is brutal, Rapids should be able to win out. As for the question of using QRF, no way. Didn't Bemidji beat Moorhead twice? QRF has the Spuds ahead of Bemidji?
It is incredible there is no media coverage of Elk River/Duluth East. 106.1 Bob FM covers a lot of Elk River games and they are covering a Maple Grove game vs Anoka. Whoever schedules games for them is on drugs.

Moorhead should give them a good game, especially since GR will be on the bus for a long drive.
QRF is wrong, but there are always people that say, 'hey its a computer gotta be right.'
Well no radio or webcast but the Hub will have someone there live updating
