Yup, think about it. Hundreds of post ago, this all started. Whats it been, 2 months? And after all that time an esteemed poster such as O himself (or is it hizself..er..could zero be bluesbuddy?) picks a team for AA champ that has been beaten twice by his pick for A champion. What does this do? Well, it changes everything.

The only trouble though Joe is, The #1 team in the state ( Class AA) the Moorhead ' Spuds' along with the #1 team in the state (Class A) the Warroad 'Warriors' who are also the defending STATE CHAMPS are standin' in the way! Both from section 8! Well of course SS but we need to keep our threads seperate. Zero has made a pediction that heavily supports the basic premise of this thread and goes against the grain....bigtime What would some of these AA supremicists do if O's prediction would come true? Even Mitch would have to convert. It would almost be too easy. If O is correct , we dump the section 8 deal and......wait,you dont suppose anyone from the modern life thread would read this...do yah? Maybe in the offseason V-drome could compile a list but Zer0 believes the facts as this: There are way more that coulda, shoulda, and woulda. Than there are that did. That being said, strap on yer seatbelts and be on the lookout for part 2 of the Zer0 series on your other 'modern' thread.

Well Joe as a matter of fact this thread goes pretty much hand in hand with the section 8 deal especially if Edina beats the 'Hounds' and the 'Hounds' beat the 'Spuds' and SLP defeats Warroad making Class A the undisputed 'king' for Minnesota High School Hockey 2004! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz...Oh, sorry, I must have dozed off. I think you are right about this finest of threads in this most fabulously entertaining forum involving the finest posters imaginable. We must continue to go against the grain while maintaining domination in section 8 as being a fact of modern life. This is consistent with good posting practice and provides a sufficient amount of flexibility in the event circumstances change that were predicted although not completely articulated to avoid confusion. Will others take on this responsibility? Will they join in this quest? Sure, some will but there are many doubters and supremacists who cling to the grain. They refuse to go against it and are stuck in the myths of the past instead of conforming to the facts of modern life. It is with this background that I commend Below O for his courageous against the grain pick even if it, on the surface conflicts with another thread which is all really very consistent when you think about it.

for commending my picks. I am surprised more haven't gone out on this limb, I am not afraid to. But I guess when your name is somewhat less than nothing than your credibility follows hand in hand. I thought the most interesting thing about this picking game is what I am going to have to deal with when I eventually have to change my picks to you know who in AA and you know who else in A. On my picks I would say that I am saying that experience means everything and nothing at the same time. I did research these teams a little bit but my research points to WBL winning it all and I wasn't prepared to pick them, YET. I see folks are tossing around these 'wimpy bets' regarding upcoming battles. I told you all that Monticello has one of the 'toughest schedules' in the state and with that in mind I will wager $10,000.00 that Moorhead pulls tonights game off against Moticello. Well Zero, It does say, right up front, on the national rankings page, just above the list, as soon as you open the link, that these rankings are "not to be taken too seriously" so they won't be. Right as rain SS. You are the grainiest. Say, I have a hard time with one of the champs being refferred to as #2. Can we just call them the ONES? The doubters and grainers will latch on to anything in a feeble attempt to derail the train and preserve the grain. Say, did you notice that BIAFP has become a convert, at least on the Spuds side. No reason to gloat, he is to be commended for his new found faith. Now if his old buddy Angus would come on board, we'd get a little more momentum going. Well, the difficult we do right away, the impossible takes just a little longer. I gotta go get some ashes on my forehead and then go to my youngests Peewee playoff game. Man, is this fun. Sections in high school, District playoffs at Peewees. I get more nervous..... But not as nervous as the doubters are now and will be comin up soon as everything happens as predicted or at least as is predictable depending on the way things turn out.
