It will be interesting to see how Andover handles the pressure all season with the "target" on their back. Their matchup on Hockey Day could be a 1 vs 2. I have a feeling Coach Randolph likes the "underdog" role

Huge 7AA matchup tonight CEC at Duluth Marshall. I’m not sure what to think here. Last year, Cloquet lost at Grand Rapids and then the QF game to Duluth Marshall. If DM scores the first goal = dangerous. DM scores the first 2 goals = upset alert.

I don't see East moving up to #1. That head-to-head loss to Andover hurts them even if they can get within the margin needed to get to the extra step. Andover would have to collapse and East would have to go on a run. East is second and they should be.

More likely is CEC dropping but once we get to the end when the tie breaker comes in to play their win over Elk will help. Unless they drop 2 games to GR.

Do you think Andover or Dulut East would rather play CEC in the QFinals or forest Lake, Elk River, or the Indians of Grand Rapids. I really could care less, except that I want Duluth East in the final.

Yikes! You are correct. Superior’s 715 armoured division is #4 in the state of cheese. It definitely won’t be easy.
