Just so all are clear and there is no confusion:observer wrote:Because of injury or illness a goalie can come up from any lower level team, same age or lower, and take the place of the regular goalie.
And, there's no such thing as a scrimmage. If there's a ref, a clock and a score it's a game. The term you should use is a "out of District game."
It was an "out of District game".
Two regular goalie were out sick and the fill in was a B1.

Thank you. I'll sleep better tonight. I wouldn't want him getting soiled up north. They're heathens up there.MrBoDangles wrote:Puckstopshere brought up drinking before the "sticking man" commenthockeygoof1 wrote:PSH and Mr. BD, why don't you girls exchange phone numbers so you can flirt away and twirl your armpit hair. Every time I'm reading some thread I have to read 1/2 a page between you two hoping to get each other drunk up in Forest Lake and hoping to get in each other's pants. It's kind of cute to read in every thread if you're 15. Do your parents know you're on-line in the chat rooms?...... I had no prior warning of his ways. Sorry that your lover has tried to make advances towards me... He's all yours!

Really? We've been calling them scrimmages for years and I think everyone knows what is meant by the term.observer wrote:Because of injury or illness a goalie can come up from any lower level team, same age or lower, and take the place of the regular goalie.

Observer is correct. Techically, a scrimmage is a game played with no refs and no clocks. Anytime you turn the clock on and have a ref on the ice, it is a either a league game or a non-district game.Bluewhitefan wrote:Really? It's a common misconception that many people have.....but it's important to know the difference.
