tartan played hopkins in the last game

tartan-3
hopkins-4

tartan scored 3 right away
hopkins came back and scored 4 i think 3 or all 4 were on powerplay.
tartan and penalties might aswell just get married.

Wasn't there a post about a certain 35-2 unreal Tartan team?

you can stop the gloating anytime mr grand rapids3343 your win is enuf to prove that you had a good weekend. tartan players have admitted here and other posts that they are beatable and can play poorly at times

Thor i dont think GR3343 was necessarily gloating...he was probably trying to say that Tartan wasnt as good as he assumed they would be from the thread started on them about having a great record and all that. I dont think he was trying to brag about their weekend in Cloquet.

it still doesn't matter.
tartan kids on here have said they are beatable. both of the games they lost were very close games and they lost in the last couple minutes due to penalties. as i saw it, grand rapids didn't look as good as they have been said to be on here either. tartan just had an off weekend. i agree with you 100% thor

Wasn't gloating, just asking the question. From the Tartan record thread, it sounded like they were this amazing team. I just didn't see it. Maybe they didn't play their best. Don't sound so amazed someone asked about it. You are right though, GR didn't look great at times either, but they overcame and still won. Don't talk to me about penalties either. GR had their fair share throughout the weekend. Check the stats from the Grand Forks game. 17 penalties on Rapids and they still pulled off the comeback down by 3 with 8 min. to go. I saw Tartan go in the tank in the 3rd when they were up by 2 and had a few calls against. Tough weekend for sure.

tartan did not go one game in the tourney without taking at least 10 penalties the one in the final minute that forced a 5 on 3 was the one that lost it

Most teams in this tourney took a lot of penalties.

the refs were to blame a lot of the time too. especially in the grand rapids grand forks game. i was watching and with every little bit of contact there was a penalty followed. im sure everyone that saw the game agrees with me too.

That's all I was getting at - lots of penalties all around - mostly blaming it on the reffing, but also looking at teams that overcame the situation.
