no, I don't play college golf. My school doesn't have a golf team. I'm up for a match/game, what course do you play out of?

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... iakChew at: 3/4/05 12:19 pm

his angles were terrible and i was very dissapointed with all the talk about how good he was to get that kind of a showing. movement is important for goalies and the crease shouldnt throw you off. how many times do you see a goalie look down to find where he is in the net?

would not call him overrated, but he definitly did not have the tourny alot of people thought he would, myself included. maybe nerves or whatever, he did let in a couple he shouldn't have.

as for golf and cheating, nobody can cheat like me!!!!!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
just kidding. no place for cheating in golf, take the score you get and live with it.

what is wrong with 36 saves in a game? yeah he maybe his angles were off but that will happen. he had a lot of pressure put on him, most goalies would have folded with that and he still came up with 36 saves, cant say that is bad. he had a good season and led the team to its first state tourny, give the kid a break.

Shako goalie

Post by OronoHATER »

He is overrated? given he let in some bad goals. Yes he shouldnt have. Did you see his team get a lot more shots? last time i checked he had the best save percentage of any goalie in the state against Holy Angels...... your right Austin Lee, Carry Wood, and the Moorhead goalies are much better..... great save percentages too!!! Learn something before you talk smack about my fellow teammate..

Spartan9 - how do you know his career is over? way to go orono, you got beat by the #5 seed, and why was that? cause the shako goalie out played the orono goalie.

Ole

Post by hockeydad »

Let's remember why Havron is at Holy Angels in the first place. He knew he wasn't to be collecting splinters in Shakopee this year while Ole played most of the games.

My question is, what does Shakopee have for a goalie next year. The kid who played when Ole was hurt did OK, but there was no one else to back him up. Their JV had to play with someone who never played goalie before for those few games.

the goalie comming up from bantams is a really good goalie. also it has been rummored (not sure how credible the source) that havron is going to go back to shakopee.

what source is that about Havron leaving? Wouldn't he have to sit out half the season too? He wouldn't if he started at AHA as ninth grader, but I'm not sure what grade he is, any help?
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

Havron

Post by hockeydad »

I think he's a sophomore, and yes, he attended Shakopee as a freshman. If he switched back, it would be his second transfer.

UNLESS.... He moved out of Shakopee when he transferred to Holy Angels, then moved back to Shakopee for next year. MSHSL allows transfers if a family moves....

If his family moved elsewhere, he would be eligible right away.

thanks hockeydad, so you don't know if his family moved? That would be a big loss for AHA in the future because you never know what could happen to Smith, and he has a year after Smith too!
Remember Frazee took over for Luth after Luth had just won the championship for AHA. Anything can happen and I think Havron should stay. But then again, whatever he feels is best for him.
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

Havron

Post by OronoHATER »

Well his family didnt move anywhere so he would have to sit out for half the year. He went because he knew he was going to sit on th bench all year. the back up goalie they used for the games while ole was hurt had never played hockey in his life. he was a first timer!

i talked to Havron the weekend before the tourny and i can say without a doubt he IS NOT going back to shakopee. first off he never moved anywhere so going back would be a second transfer and constitute sitting out half a season. (and we saw what sitting did for O'Hara at AHA) second is that there is no loved lost between Havron and the Shakopee coach. knowing Havron like i do, we have talked about what options he has, and returning to Shakopee is really not a viable one. Chew hit it on the head, right now you don't know what is going to happen to Keaton. perhapes he bolts to the Jr's who knows. injury? hope not but always a possibility. God forbid something like that happens Hav would get his shot, and i also know for sure he would do outstanding. i have knowen him since he was a first year Pee Wee and he has busted his butt to become a good goalie. again, there are options out there for him, but in reality Shakopee is not one of them.

Havron

Post by OronoHATER »

The reason there is no love is because Havron has no respect for adults. It was by no means the coaches fault that he left in fact if anything it was daddy havrons fault because he didnt understand the fact that ratalsky was better last year therefore he should play. I dont forsee many options out there for this kid because of his attitude but whatever works works. He has a bit of skill and sure as hell messes with the shooters because of his glove hand being opposit most. I would really like to see him play next year at AHA because he is a good kid!

havron

Post by hockeydad »

OronoHater

My son knows Ole and also has met Havron. From what he says, Havron's a good kid. It's probably a lot like what you said. He's got the same problem so many other players that transfer have....a parent who thinks their kid is god's gift to hockey (or whatever sport they play) and that the kid is not getting utilized properly in his present environment.

question - did havron grow up in Shakopee. I thought I heard he had moved from somehwere else where there were too many goalies a couple years ago, but I'm not sure if that's true.
