There are few things in life sweeter than watching Hermantown lose at state, but this was no fun. I'm glad the JV kids got their moment under the lights though.
I will applaud Hermantown for a valiant effort under difficult circumstances, but containing Lamb was a tough ask for a bunch of JV defensemen. DC versus the 4/5 winner should be a good matchup. We’ve already seen them take down LF once.

Well that was weird.

Good luck to DC in the next round!
Well said, rainier. It was a bizarre game, barely recognizing any of the players from HT.

A bounce here or there in the HT direction and it would have been a really interesting game.
Four of the first five goals were very weak. Not to be too harsh on the starter but, If they’d have started the other kid, Hermantown might’ve actually won. Valiant effort by Zam. Showed great class at the end, as well as when he grabbed the puck after the one goal. Again, as much as I wish Hermantown would move up to AA, I honestly feel bad for their seniors. Especially Aaron Pionk.
Aside from a couple players on DC I didn't think they looked very impressive against a JV squad. Quite a bit of sloppy play. But congrats to DC on their first tournament appearance and win. No sad feelings over here for h-town, all those kids have been to state before, most multiple times and have enjoyed enormous success every step of the way.

Great. Now we get to see Gentry pound the daylights out of whoever they play in the championship. Fair to say the Class A tourney is officially over.
Class A could not possibly be less interesting this year.

Yup. I think they hit the pipe at least 3 times. They did make it a little interesting in the 3rd. That goal by Plant was a lesson in persistence, but Lamb is awfully smooth & makes it look effortless.

You don’t think the Green Wave have a chance?
I think they have the “best” chance of the teams remaining in the tourney, but it’s a very small chance. Dodge County and the winner of tonight’s late game have absolutely no chance at all.
I wish Hermantown would move to AA as do most people because I feel they can compete at the AA level....
But I'm enjoying the "this is a very boring A tournament" talk now that the Hawks have left the dance. Sometimes there's a "be careful what you wish for" feeling. Having a villain isn't always the worst thing...

Watching the Hawks' varsity win 15-0 wouldn't have been very exciting either.
LF-Delano was a great game. LF-DC should be exciting. Gentry-EGF should be exciting. The chip, however, may not be that exciting.
