As a player this year I think he displayed a lot of grit and hard work. He has an excellent shot. He needs to embrace the strength's of his game (grit, hard work, strength, his shot) and not try to play like a skill guy. His skating needs work. As far as benefiting from a talented, hard working linemate is concerned, lets see if he sticks around first to determine the type of season Henry has next year. In the meantime, I'll take the over/under on him being committed to a D1 by end of elite league season this fall....Karma 29 wrote:He is a spoiled punk. Fair enough, and that may be the case, but I will argue that he will be a very good role player/3rd/4th line guy at the D1 level.Karma 29 wrote:No personal issue. Call it like I see it. I don't doubt that, but commit and actually play are worlds apart. Give him time to mature, could be better than a third liner.Sats81 wrote:Fair enough, and that may be the case, but I will argue that he will be a very good role player/3rd/4th line guy at the D1 level.Karma 29 wrote:No personal issue. 1st and 2nd line players at the D1 level are almost always high skill guys. I just don't see that happening in his game. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but his strengths don't lie in his puckhandling and skating. His skills are his physicality, toughness, grit, heavy shot and strength. All things that are attributes of good 3rd/4th line D1 players.Karma 29 wrote:I don't doubt that, but commit and actually play are worlds apart.
