[quote="Chandler23"]Over the last two days, Miracle Gold had tryouts for the following:

December 26 – 1999 & 2000
December 26 – 12U & 14U
December 26 – 10U
December 27 – 2002 – 2004
December 27 – 2000 & 2001
December 27 – 1998 & 1999

This thread is dedicated to listing all of the players that made a Miracle Gold team for 2012 from the tryouts listed above. If you know of anyone, please respond to this thread and I will edit my post. I will allow plenty of space for all the names.

New Additions to Miracle Gold

Chandler, Doesn't Miracle Gold have a website?

I can tell you that the 99 Miracle team will be looking for a fair amount of players. Some of their more talented players bailed for the promise land this year. Not sure what age group you're with?

Good luck!

You mean the fathers being fellated by a certain someone wasn't enough to keep them coming back? Kind of has a familiar ring to it. There must be a hundred or more ex-'99 Miracle kids out there. Hell, they could hold a reunion and there wouldn't be a room at the SR big enough to hold them all.

The web site is miraclegold.org - They do not list rosters or tryout results. Never heard of anyone actually being notified after a tryout via phone, email, or anything. If you're running the program don't you at least send out a "thanks but no thanks" email? That's just good human relations.

Anyway, what is this promise land that you speak of for the 99s that are bailing? Blades? Machine? Lacrosse?

Help me if I have lost track of any sources of heartburn with MG....

We know that they hold a series of tryouts, they select a group of kids (I'm assuming they choose stronger players over weaker players), they provide a summer's worth of training up at the NSC, they play in some tournaments (they seem to be playing with the Big Boys at the younger levels), and they post all of their info on their website.

$$-per-hour looks good, resumes look good, facility looks good. I don't know if they have sweet sublimated jerseys or not (Go Fighting Pike!!), but they do have a nice logo. :)

I only care about my kids and their buddies, so 2000 and after. At those ages, this program looks good to me. If I'm writing out a check for the summer, and it isn't for a new boat, I don't see any downside. Am I wrong? If my kid tries out, he will know if he is selected. If not, I move on. There's always a MN Made flyer in the mailbox.

My bad....wrong roster. This is the 99 Wolfpack's Open Roster.....Tony Manero has some great moves, both on the dance floor as well as the ice.

Some of the talented Miracle Gold players went to the new and improved 99 Blades team. High expectations! Time will tell if they can keep their # 2 ranking in the state for the 2012 AAA season.

i think the blades lost one of the best coaches in the state when they screwed jerry anderson and the best players went with him because they know he is good i think the blade 99 team is going to follow 98 and 96 machine teams down the drain

The kids can't play together forever. As time passes most teams split up. Nothing new there. When the Machine splits up everyone is happy for the wrong reasons. It's called envy.
Last years Blades team wasn't even close to the Machine. A little shake up is good in my opinion. Should be interesting to see how the new and improved Blades team will be this season in the 99 age level.

My predictions. Machine Black, Nats, and Blades all should be very close. Coaches have to decide if they want to shorten the bench? It appears that Machine Black is going from using 5 orange players last year to 3 orange players this year in each tournament.
Guess what players on Machine Black received majority of ice time last year?

1) Machine Orange- Same team - will be the best - nuff said - watch the elbows they like to hit - they call it finishing checks

2) Icemen - Last years Blades team with some other nice additions - Blades coach - might be players from all over north america on their roster

3) Machine Black - With only 3 orange players on the tournament roster this year this team won't be as strong but they will compete - coach is known to shorten the bench

4) Nats - Lost one player but went from 27 players on roster to creating two teams - roster is stronger for 2012 - played very well in 2011 - team will be stronger in 2012 - bring in players from other states

5) Blades - A little help from here and a little help from there. Not too many big name players thus far. Very small team that will struggle with checking if you can catch them - if they are caught it might be ugly

Hey Gorilla. Blades lost majority of their talent. Nats lost one good player but strengthened their team by creating two teams and adding some good depth in tryouts

How many of these AAA summer programs are nothing more than Kool aide Stands?....Kool aide, Kool aide for sale! I know a several hockey families that drink quite a bit of it.

Other players in the game?

Velocity

The Edge

The Ice Edge

Some of the Machine Orange games in the Caribou had some very wide margins (Velocity and Nationals both went down by a score 14 - 0) Now that the players are older will we still see those type of one sided games between some of the top AAA clubs
