There is another thread down the forum about a girl named Dani Schultz. A lot of points against no competition seemed to be the knock on her. That would be the same case if Karley would have stayed in Little Falls and played for whatever coop program they have with other schools. I don't blame her and her family for moving to get more exposure for herself. It's gotten her a college scholarship and a chance to play on the US U18 team. There is a good shot she would not have had that chance if she didn't move.

She would have gotten a scholarship no matter where she played. What she gained was a chance to win a state championship.

She was a ms hockey top ten a member of the U18 gold medal winning team and a awesome high school player but I guess she also played second line, did not start any games and was not a part of the rams power play unit.
Read this to see what her coach thinks of her:

"A player like that comes along once in a lifetime, if you’re lucky,” Bergstrom said. “She’s just a dynamite player. The complete package.”

“There’s been a lot of great players out of Roseau,” he said of the girls program. “Others have been fantastic, but Abby is a really special player who makes everyone else around her so much better.”

This is true. And she would have had the chance to play on the US U18 team as well no matter where she played.

AP All-State

There is a MN All state AP list that came out today or yesterday that has less kids on it and a few different ones. Is that from a different source then the the Pioneer Press, or is it just updated? Not sure how all this stuff works.
