People, know it alls, on this board do not see the real picture for this conference. Props to AHA for winning the Missota. NP is good team and will continue to get better.
Really? NP is a .500 team...I'm not sure this qualifies as a "good" team. With losses to teams such as Farmington, Albert Lea, Duluth Central, New Ulm, Holy Family, et al - I'm thinking it's more of a reflection of AHA to mediocrity than the emergence of a superior conference.
I just don't see any Missota team making a serious run to, or at, State.
Im not so sure AHA is really that mediocre, or at least no more so than the rest of AA elite.
AHA 6-5 over Burnsville
AHA 7-0 over Blake
AHA 8-5 over CDH
AHA 5-3 over EP
Edina 5-4 over AHA
Minnetonka 5-4 over AHA
Benilde 8-6 over AHA
If I'm in AHA's section I would not take them lightly or you will be going home.

I think you forgot about 1 game:
HM 6-1 over AHA
That goes against his point...
You are right, Howie. AHA cannot be taken lightly by any team. AND of course they are one of Admiral Shanty's Fleet of Fours!

Nope, did not forget about that game. HM is rated #1 in the state for a reason. The rest of the teams fall into one category in "AA", contenders. But that is why they play the games, let the games begin!

Really!! Which private school does your kid skate for? The new HS rules for transfering is doing its job to stop the exodus and bringing more parioty to HS hockey. Any team can win on any given night it seems.
Perhaps I should have used "inconsistency" as opposed to mediocrity. I don't think the transfer rules have changed in the past 3 years. Nolan Meyer didn't have much trouble getting to Cloquet this year as a senior...nor Anders Lee getting back to Edina a couple years ago. If the kids want to move...they will always find a way.
Oh, and my kids are 20 months and 6 weeks old...I'm not even sure they want to play hockey yet

And EP beat HM 2-1. I don't think there is a clear cut #1 this year....for that very reason.
