What are some up and coming organizations and why?

A couple more from District 10.

St. Francis has some very good talent at the Squirt and Mite levels coming up. The A Squirt team has a very good record and only one or two losses against District opponents. Their Mites are also looking pretty good. Benik was a big part of giving these kids a passion for Hockey.

North Branch has also been impressive at the Squirt level. They have a very large rostered B-1 team that has a very good record. Probably would be at the very top of B-1 or had a pretty decent A team if they rostered 11-13 like most other associations they play against. Their Mites are very talented. Could of easily had one of the best, or the best, A Mite teams in District 10. Instead, North Branch divided them into two B teams by age. The result has been two B teams with no competition.

Good to see a few programs taking a turn for the better.

Need to be careful when making those claims, especially about mites. Time will tell and I hope they do improve but looks like they need more time based on early results from district playoffs.

Like I said I'm not picking on either assoc., in fact I know families in those assoc. but look at the thread title. I didn't set the standards, others did when they discuss Andover, Minneapolis Storm, STMA, Prior Lake and Farmington, teams that have had success in districts, tournaments and have growing numbers of players. Hard to say these 2 assoc. are up and coming if they aren't successful in districts, tournaments or growing in numbers of players. Theres nothing wrong with small assoc. but grow up and quit being so sensitive to people questioning if an association is really up and coming if they aren't growing can only field a single B1 squirt team. Like someone said a successful assoc. is one that grows, recruits and retains players.

Nice to hear NB, SF are doing well. We are stuck at about 450 kids. three or four years in a row. 13 mite teams.[boys] 3 or 4 mite girls. Hope all the areas up here keep growing.

not that it matters--The SF-Blaine A SQ game went to a 7 player shoot out. 1 of there better players couldn't participate because he was in the box at the end of OT. St Francis out played and out shot Blaine during the game.

I've noticed that Farmington has been sending some good youth teams out lately. If only they would have built that second sheet of ice, they really need it.

I see you have 8 mite teams on your website. Good job trying to recruit kids. Hopefully when your new rink is built things will get better for the association.

I do have one question, has your association changed their jersey's? Just asking because the one's I have seen in the past are just plain ugly. Red, Black, Grey, Yellow and that ugly vikings ripoff logo doesn't look to good. If you haven't, you might want to take a look at it.

STMA squirt A and PWA are both very strong, but drastic drop off to "B" levels ... IM(sometimes)HO.

How drastic is that drop off? The STMA PWB's are going to State. The 97, 98 & 99's are a solid group of athlete's all around - A or B level.
