I also agree 100% with the grit and determinationt...Also, hats off to the Pool B RED and SKY teams..

But if you guys did watch the last to games - Pool A vs Pool B, you will notice that grit and determination was ALSO on the Pool A side. Pool A outplayed and outshot the Pool B teams by a very wide margin - Just couldn't bury the puck. Excellent goaltending by SKY and RED ...

Yellow team for example played the crossover game vs Sky and the Champ game vs RED. The shots in those 2 games combined were around 85 to 25..for the Yellow. The scoring chances were heavily one-sided and the hustle was outstanding

You don't out-shot a team 43-13 without Grit, Determination, Desire and Brains..

Not taken anything away from SKY or the RED team. They hung around and the RED team took home the trophy.

Good to see that hockey sense, brains, making the correct hockey play - whatever you want to call it - gets credited at some point. At lower ages (and likely due to less-skilled evaluators), one or two flashy moves makes all the difference and outweighs 3 dunder-headed plays and no back-checking by the same player. Keep playing smart and gritty, gals!
