Which? The top 13 players or the 13 practice players also listed on the 26 skater roster. No question the top half of the players on the roster are very good but then you have top 3-4 players on other teams like breakaway, icemen, and others.

you make a very good point...I think Wilcox, the SSP goalie got cut from ADV 15, and he is currently on the way to the U....so you never know....

The other 13 aren't necessarily practice players. The U14 (1995) Blades roster that is on the website was basically a mix of the top Machine, Icemen and Blades players. There are a few practice players listed, but not more than a handful. For example, Fasching and Reno were Machine/Breakaway players....Nanne came from the Machine, and wasn't Wiitala on the Icemen?

Wiitala, Gross, Reibling, and Adler came from the Icemen to play for the Blades in the U-14 Tournament. That was an extremely talented squad

And quite a few of those kids from the u14 team played high school this year instead of Bantams. Playing Varsity at this age is a huge factor when they pick the teams after the first tourney. :-k

Also need to remember that there will be a few other strong contenders who played Tier 1 Bantam at Shattuck this season: McCoshen, Raskob, Cammareta, etc.

This has been discussed a million times, but I believe Shattuck players have the choice of playing Adv 15 in Minnesota or their home state. The choice is up to them. Yes, McCoshen is from Hudson, but I don't believe that matters.

The SSM kids try-out where they have a home address. Some kids not from Faribault have parents with addresses in Faribault, a town home or maybe a second house. The others tryout in their home district.

Agreed, both are solid. I think #3 from Osseo/Maple Grove is the best defensemen i've seen all year.

YOu gotta love the comments on the Blades have all the top kids in the state. Look at all the kids from the North- Roseau, Warroad, Rapids, Duluth that are D1 now and were and were top players in state in there day.
There are several now again and they are not on the Blades- they cant be on the Blades. You cant live that far north and play for the Blades. The Blades are great - but come on open your eyes.
"You could pretty much copy-n-paste the 95' Blades roster to the ADV 15 final roster."
great Quote from Edina dad (HORNETGUY) whose kid plays on the same 95 Blade team that was beat by the 95 LS STARS in Toronto a year and a half ago.
When the LSStars can get there full roster (which is seldom- due to travel) they can beat Blades, Machine, Breakaway etc.
Duluth, CLoquet, FF, EGF, Roseau, Brainerd all have a kid or 2 that are ADV. 15 capable. -----since you brought it up------

The best players from the LSS and Icemen failed to beat the Blades in the Walleye cup a few months before the season.

Not true, it can be difficult but some northern kids do. See the 94' team, and even the 99', and 01'. The word "Can't" isn't part of the vocabulary.

Kids/families from outside the twin cities metro area maybe more willing to drive further distances for the practice, competition, and development they may see better suited for their daughter or son. While the LSS are a great program, someone in Mankato, Brainerd, or even Albert Lea may select to participate on one of the Twin City based summer team.

New Prauge's goalie was pretty good. Other than that I didn't see any real stand outs from D4.

For GR your probably thinking of Bischoff, Holum, and Peterson. Those 3 stick out to me.

well i gotta agree new pregues goalie is a great, but #24 was a good player and from faribault #8 was a great defense men, but idk i just watched them both against zeta and omg but thats just my opinion
