After watching Rau skate all over Hermantown, I think EP is hitting full stride. Goaltending has been solid for Eagan and will keep the SCORE close, but EP will dominate. Shots 33-18

EP 3-1.

I was mostly right on, except the final. Shots were 36-23 EP, and Tommy Bodeker must have been fantastic.

Well all I can say is I hope finally this will give the Eagan boys the respect they deserve. This was a great game, physical at times and very fun to watch. Both teams scored one soft goal and then two terrific goals. Unlike the first game Eagan was able to mostly shut down the Eagles power play. Bodecker played a strong game, the only team to score more than two goals on him this year is EP with 7 game one and 3 tonight.

The next game against LVN could be tricky, they cant overlook after the BIG win tonight. Burnsville on Saturday night will be tough as well on Blaze ice. Next week Jefferson comes to town to finish a tough stretch of games.

Barring any weak losses the rest of the season Eagan should get the #1 seed in 3AA.

Okay rip away those of you who cannot help yourselves..but the fact is...the Cats redeemed themselves tonight.

Hey I never said we were better than EP only that we redeemed ourselves after a 7-1 loss 10 days ago. And I have had enough people on here rip Eagan that I feel this should finally breed some respect from those who have doubted this team.

I haven't been impressed by this Eagan team at all this season.

I think most would agree they've overachieved if anything this year.

I believe the youth and inexperience will finally catch up to them this week, though.

Eagan has lost 1 high school hockey game this year to the defending state champs and current #2 team. While they may not be better than EP, they can and will compete every night regardless of the opponent. Tough week coming up still. Good luck to them the rest of the way and most of all Congrats on a nice win!!!

Eagan has always played EP tough at their home rink. This doesn't suprise me. Ep has always opened their Lake schedule at Eagan. Just a slight set back, they will rebound. Eagan is a factor here, but I still believe they are still just too young yet to be a contender in their Section.

Nice win for Eagan last night - beat EP fair and square. It was a fast skating, entertaining game with some good puck movement. Cats deserve a lot of credit for a strong rebound after earlier loss to EP. The Lake is now officially mucked up. Congratulations HHF, BHF and Eagan faithful who turned out big to support their team last night.

Not really, right now EP just needs to win out and they get it. Burnsville and Jefferson both need a lot of help and Eagan needs to beat Jefferson again and have Eden Prairie lose.

As for ranking, Eagan is similar to a Boise St; no schedule except for two games where they go 1-1 with a big school. What does that show? Not much. Cretin just showed they can play, so while Eagan should be #1, I expect the section final to be a good one.

I have noticed that one line has been scoring for EP. If they want any chance of repeating again this year, they must get everyone going.

I wouldn't consider a three point night a lack of production for Rau, but for EP to have any shot at defending some other forwards are going to have to pick up the scoring pace. After the first line the next highest point total for any forward is 13. If I were Coach Smith I'd be concerned.

I've allready choked down my portion of crow but since HHF needs a little TLC I'll say it again, Congrats...all you guys do is win.
