WOW!!! Happyhockeyfan must be going nuts!!!
Eagan up 3-1 in 2nd...

Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
I was mostly right on, except the final. Shots were 36-23 EP, and Tommy Bodeker must have been fantastic.Goldfishdude wrote:HHF.....???? Although I respect what the Wildcats have done this year, I can't give them the vote of confidence.shakey wrote:HappyHockeyFan, where are you?
After watching Rau skate all over Hermantown, I think EP is hitting full stride. Goaltending has been solid for Eagan and will keep the SCORE close, but EP will dominate. Shots 33-18
EP 3-1.

Well all I can say is I hope finally this will give the Eagan boys the respect they deserve. This was a great game, physical at times and very fun to watch. Both teams scored one soft goal and then two terrific goals. Unlike the first game Eagan was able to mostly shut down the Eagles power play. Bodecker played a strong game, the only team to score more than two goals on him this year is EP with 7 game one and 3 tonight.
The next game against LVN could be tricky, they cant overlook after the BIG win tonight. Burnsville on Saturday night will be tough as well on Blaze ice. Next week Jefferson comes to town to finish a tough stretch of games.
Barring any weak losses the rest of the season Eagan should get the #1 seed in 3AA.
Okay rip away those of you who cannot help yourselves..but the fact is...the Cats redeemed themselves tonight.

Hey I never said we were better than EP only that we redeemed ourselves after a 7-1 loss 10 days ago. And I have had enough people on here rip Eagan that I feel this should finally breed some respect from those who have doubted this team.breakout wrote:HappyHockeyFan wrote:![]()

Happy, do you think those chirping EP Dads will offer up their congrats?
Maybe some lessons learned. Don't put a bigger target on your back![]()
Humility is a good thing
It's amazing how quiet the board is tonight. Where is Roseauverrated, toptitty, wtbearlk1111, and all of the others I've missed who have never seen Eagan play yet like to pick against them, rip them, etc. etc. It's amazing how an Eagan win has shut everyone up.Lakeviewing wrote:Right now, this Eagan team is just too young. May be a good team next year, but expecting a win on Eagan's ice with EP will not happen. I know it has been tough, EP used to open its schedule at Eagan and was always a tough opener. EP wins here in a tough game.

I believe the youth and inexperience will finally catch up to them this week, though.
They gave up 4 to Chaska the other night. I don't think EP scores any less than 5.
EP - 5
Eagan - 2

HHF was kind enough to come out and speak after the 7-1 EP win, the least the rest of you can do is come on here and give him his props.
HockeyMn1, it's nice to see you confess you were wrong. Kind of a little lesson learned here by many. Toot your horn about your own team and don't criticize others.
Eagan has lost 1 high school hockey game this year to the defending state champs and current #2 team. While they may not be better than EP, they can and will compete every night regardless of the opponent. Tough week coming up still. Good luck to them the rest of the way and most of all Congrats on a nice win!!!
Eagan has always played EP tough at their home rink. This doesn't suprise me. Ep has always opened their Lake schedule at Eagan. Just a slight set back, they will rebound. Eagan is a factor here, but I still believe they are still just too young yet to be a contender in their Section.HappyHockeyFan wrote:chirp...chirp...chirp....chirp...H E L L O O O !...anybody out there???besthockeyfan wrote:It's amazing how quiet the board is tonight. Not really, right now EP just needs to win out and they get it. Burnsville and Jefferson both need a lot of help and Eagan needs to beat Jefferson again and have Eden Prairie lose.tjkhavgam wrote:Cats answer the 1st call of a tough week. Congrats. Defense? They held Tonka to 1 goal in their first meeting.FREDFLINTSTONE wrote:Rather than saying Eggon is good, I would prefer to say EP is over rated. Not sure how EP thinks they can get out of sections with production from only one line. If it didn't work against Eggon, it won't work against Tonka.
Where you at this game? The first period EP came out and skated/passed like the #1 team in the state. Only problem being they just didn't finish well - a big problem Yes I know. But anyone who saw the game would I'm sure say the same about their potential. Eagan didn't look overly awesome at any point during the game, they just took advantage of their chances. EP outshot Eagan 36-24 I believe.FREDFLINTSTONE wrote:Rather than saying Eggon is good, I would prefer to say EP is over rated. I have noticed that one line has been scoring for EP. If they want any chance of repeating again this year, they must get everyone going.StillAnEagle wrote:Where you at this game? I tell you this, EP really needs to get some production out of their 2nd line at the very minimum. The big games where Rau doesn't produce amounts in losses. Edina, Tonka, and Eagan all the same.
