Should players and parents be allowed to nominate themselves on "Best of" Boards?

Absolutely, spending $10k on hockey annually entitles one to nominate

I would say 4 out of 5 coaches think this blue puck is a joke, the thing bounces around like a freakin' superball.

Then don't use it.
Only requirement to use it is if you drive down the road for a game with another association (and we don't do that either).

When has a bunch of guys in a Colorado office known more about coaching kids then the guys on the pond with the kids in Minnesota.

And yes, I am the district director from District 16.
And as I have said from the beginning, use blue pucks if you think they are better for development of the kids, use them if the kids have more fun with them, but make the choice yourself as you are the coaches not a bunch of old guys sitting around a table using statistics that do not mean a thing.

Roseau does not use blue pucks. And on a percentage basis who produces more top end players? (rhetorical question - don't answer it.)

Well said Elliot, thanks for the input. Wisconsin uses the thing for squirts also. This is off topic so end of discussion.

Best Ref Fall...

Had to be during the Bantam B1 playoffs in Rogers.

The ref tripped and fell over the blue line...in a classic wipe out move. The other ref was laughing so hard he had to contain himself.

An old friend who used to play in the WCHA claimed he was the fastest skater between the blue lines back in the day.

So the question is:

Who is the fastest skater between the bluelines at every level(Rookie mite through bantam A).

What is the best use for blue pucks?
-My answer is chuck-a-puck. It adds an added element of luck.

That is a good one. This topic is great. Good laughs all around. The hottest hockey mom or the team with the best looking moms would be a good one but we need to keep this a kid friendly site. Even though most of the players at the Peewee or older ages already rate the moms in the locker room anyways.
