I agree with Gopher, the refs in both semifinal games were awful.rbkhockey4life wrote:Settle down there gopher your team will have a chance again next stop complaining just because your team lost everyone around the whole state has to put up with bad refs at some point, and have you ever reffed it is a lot harder then you think it is.gophers101 wrote:The hibbing cheerleaders are rotten! I had never seen any of those refs before and I hope I never have to see them again because they were terrible.

I am a Hibbing fan in fact. But the reffing was awful! I'm not going to deny it. And to answer rbkhockey's question of have I reffed the answer is yes and it was dumb but I was an outstanding ref .(Not really)pacman wrote:Gopher is actually a Hibbing Fan haharbkhockey4life wrote:Settle down there gopher your team will have a chance again next stop complaining just because your team lost everyone around the whole state has to put up with bad refs at some point, and have you ever reffed it is a lot harder then you think it is.gophers101 wrote:The hibbing cheerleaders are rotten! Re: FALLS/HIBBING
I agree. I really didn't care who won the game... I was just hoping for a good game to watch. It was UGLY! The refs were bad, and one could barely skate. Both teams played terribly, except for the few times that Hibbing's #1 line actually passed the puck to each other, and guess what...they got some nice goals. Amazing what happens when you pass the puck.INDUS wrote:For all the people, this was a awful games for both teams. There was a total of about 30 shots on net the whole game. If the falls didn't shoot ten feet wide it might have been alittle closer. If hibbing beats Virginia I will be suprised. How about those refs? Two of the three don't belong on the ice, not even in a pee wee game. They weren't a factor in the game, but that is an embarresment to sect. 7. to have officials like that ref a game of this magnitude.
Overall, a very disappointing game, which I left early with 7 minutes to go (couldn't take any more).

I didn't want to get into the reffing problem as I don't like to use them as an excuse every time we lose like many people do. Yea the fat one made me feel good because I'm 300lbs and I looked skinny next to him. The other one had his pants pulled up so high his whistle even had a higher pitch to it. Sad thing, the Roseau refs make these guys look like NHL refs.
They didn't loose the game for us, but they definately let it get out of hand. Glad no one got hurt and no Hibbing players will miss the championship game. Let's hope the IRC and section 7A are as close knit next year as it was this year . And at least a snobby private will not represent 7A this year.

Well one of Hibbings problems this year was passing TOO much and not shooting. Compared to watching Eveleth games I'm surprised you didn't think it was the Russian's playing Candada for an olympic gold.
Cheerleaders skating ability?bronco2828 wrote:I agree not a real great game, not just for the broncos losing but no real flow to the game. Excuses you want excuses, there are a few, but plain and simple we got beat by the blue jackets last night. Now the excuses, you asked. Could they get the arena hotter there in Rapids I should have brought my shorts and thongs, similar to the temp at Memorial. After half of the broncos being sick for a week, the heat didn't help. A 10 minute penalty to start the game off, set the tone for calls. Walls should have been in net a long time ago. Will the broncos defense learn that they are defensivemen not wings. If you want to score the goals move to offense. As much yacking, hitting, and fighting between Youso and Jamnick, after the end the skated off talking to each other. What happens on the ice stays on the ice. We got beat but the bronco cheerleaders kicked the crap out the bluejacket ones. Much better skating and cheering exhibition.
Anyway go Blue Devils.
