Eagan did beat Hastings 5-2 almost two weeks ago.

However, Hastings has played Woodbury tough in two games - losing in O.T. and losing 2-0 (empty netter by Woodbury). The Raiders also tied Stillwater and Roseville and if their goalie (Jon Gleinser) is on, they could give Eagan a battle as well.

Predictions/comments.
49 goals scored in 20 games according to Pointstreak. No other SEC team had fewer than 59 goals, and that was the 4-20-1 Wolfpack of Park-CG. On the bright side, only 77 goals allowed.

Tough to win when you don't score. (I just made that up.)

This team has not gotten better all year. They will get beat by 5. Fire the whole staff and start over. With the weather maybe Eagan wont make it. The Raiders may have a chance to move on. Forfeit baby. This team could be one of the worst AA teams in the state.

Welch couldn't coach a team out of a wet paper bag. Good luck next year to the Raiders.

Not positive I think I heard the announcer say #15 but again that's just a guess I didn't quit catch it so I didn't say.

3 minutes left in the 3rd. Casper makes breakaway save for Eagan right after.

Internet feed was buffering of course so I missed the goal and who scored it.

As has been the case all year J.Gliesner gave us a chance. And contrary to what others have said about Casper.. although he played ok, he was NO match for Gliesner.
And although we played better offensively than in recent games defensively we were very poor again. You can't keep giving up 45-50 shots a game and not covering your man in front and expect to win. Ultimetly the Defensman were the achilles heel of this team this year. Which one of these coaches is coaching the D? I mean what are they learning?
I saw several mistakes tonight and no coaches explaining any thing to the players when they returned to the bench. Why have coaches if your NOT coaching/teaching? I just have not seen any improvement what so ever in our Defenseman and some are worse.
Problem is Welch won't sit certain kids/captains who don't give 100% and make more mistakes than younger players. How can he expect anyone to respect him when he himself won't make the tough decisions. Although the game was close in score it could have easily been 7-3 8-3 had J.G not been as good as he was.
This team loses most of there scoring and the "backbone" in Gliesner. I don't see much of a future at this point. I really think now would be a good time for Welch to move on so that we can have a new fresh start.
