O yeah obviously there are exceptions to the football thing. Guys like Michael Floyd, Marion Barber III, James Laurinaitis, and Larry Fitzgerald have proved that. But what I mean is that to be a major college football prospect in MN you need to look like you are playing against 7th graders. That's not the case in hockey here.mngopherfan wrote:Not sure i agree with that, look at Joe Mauer for example. also Alt's lineman Sentrall Henderson is a top 5 recruit for 2010...komada77 wrote:Hockey for sure. Alt is a legit pro prospect in hockey. Not even close in football. Remember, this is Minnesota. Being one of the best hockey players in the state is like being one of the best football players in Texas-it's a big deal. Being the best football player in MN, on the other hand. is not nearly as impressive relative to the rest of the country.dubya44 wrote:are you guys thinkin football or hockey for mark?? i think it could go either way to be honest...
But i do get the basis of your statement. He excels in hockey whereas i am sure he's good enough to play lots of places in football just not the USC's of the world. I'd lvoe to see him mature into a 6-6 mamouth who crushes people.
