With the conclusion of tonight's pre-Thanksgiving big games, scores have been updated in the original post. So far it is proving to be a very interesting season!

Shoot, I was 15 for 16. I could have been 16 for 16 because I originally picked Blaine to beat Centennial but I changed my mind when I heard that Lauren Zrust was out. It seems that Centennial is having a rough time early in the season. First they were blown away by Hopkins and then it appears that they lost to Blaine team, which didn't have their top player in Zrust. Has anyone seen any of their games? Any thoughts?

From the Star Tribune.......BLAINE 4, CENTENNIAL 3: Judy Daleiden scored the game-winning goal on a power play midway through the third period, lifting the Bengals over the Cougars in the Northwest Suburban. Teammate Lauren Zrust, who assisted on the game-winning goal, scored two first-period goals as Blaine raced to a 3-0 lead. Amanda Dalluge had a goal and an assist for Centennial.

Looks like the rumor that Zrust was out was untrue. I wish I would have stayed with my Blaine pick.

I think we should give it to Edge, 16 for 16, as he had this one figured correctly with Zrust playing such a big role in Blaine's win!

Outstanding. These weren't all gimmes either. There were some tough calls there--like Warroad over Minnetonka, Cloquet over BSM, Eagan over EP (although this one is looking obvious now).

I do know that two of Centennial's top defenders did not play the Hopkins game. Sr. Travis-injured and Jr. DeBruzzi-injured I believe. Both played in the State Tournament 2007. Correct me if I am wrong however I do believe Zrust played the Blaine/Centennial game. Did she play in the Grand Rapids game? I could not tell by today's Star/Tribune. Thanks
