What I cannot figure out. Do people really care if parents have their kids skate for other programs? As far as I'm concerned it's not anyone's business. Not sure why you're so concerned?
You asked, and because I continue to get egged on by the peanut gallery I feel compelled to reply. Help me understand why you feel so compelled to continue to be concerned about others caring what you do with your kid. I am reading posts and don’t see where people are questioning or asking why you choose to send your kid outside of the organization. You keep brining it up, why? Take your kid wherever you want, but make sure you are looking ahead. At some point you will need to make a decision in the future with regard to where to send your kid next. You say that you don’t care if your kid is a B player; a B player isn’t going to make the Fire, which is the next likely choice at this point. Of course you can go back to your association, but it sounds like that is not an option for you. Now your plan may consist of hoping that MM adds the Peewee level to the offering, at this point that option does not exist. I guess your other option is to seek a waiver and I am sure your local association would be more than happy to sign off on it, but what association is going to take you? So what is your plan?
You seem to not be happy with your local association. Why? What are you doing to help, besides complain? You must have personal experience with your association or you wouldn’t have such a negative view of them. What didn’t they do for you that makes you so bitter? Better yet, what did you association do for you? This is a common problem of Squirt parents, seeking out the negative and coming up with excuses as to why things didn’t go their way. You are going after your organization about being well organized, help them organize. You need to dump the attitude of I wrote the check and I am entitled to have my organization run they way I think it should be run. You have 2 choices with your local organization, write the check and get involved or write the check and shut your yap. But at the end of the day, your check doesn’t entitle you to squat. Your check entitles your kid to play on a team. There is no tangible return on investment; the only return on your investment is contributing your money to a group of people that volunteer to help you develop a youth athlete. There is more to hockey than putting a puck in the net, figure it out.
You continue to pollute posts with your constant whining, knock it off. I started this poll to prove a point and my help you and others that are new to this game. The results pretty much prove the point.
I am starting a new post for you. Post all of your issues on that one post and stop the pollution. We have spotted owls on this board that need protection…
Post your complaints on the “I don’t like my local association” thread. Again, try to enjoy the game.
