Hard to summon up a lot of energy when you are getting mugged and pistol-whipped for the first two periods. Hill did what they had to do to win, but obviously that meant playing cheap and dirty.Goldy Gopher wrote:Funner isn't a word my friend.HastingsDangler02 wrote:Kind of makes the championship funner that Hill Murray won. Oliver played the first line and Ness way too much all night long. They didn't have enough energy to mount a comeback in the third.

Then your beef should be the officiatin not with Hill. If the refs won't call it why should Hill stop? They did it in all 3 games and got away with it, hats off to them. They found a weakness in the system and exploited it, that's good coaching.
Hill won 3 games, all by 3 goals or more. I don't care how they did it, that's impressive.
FWIW, how many PP goals did these 3 teams amass when they did have the chance? It wasn't the lack of powerplays that lost the game for any of them.
I will say this though, at least 2 of the officials who worked the tournament are among the worst I see year in and year out. The selection process needs to be changed so we see the best, not the Association heads and Clinicians.
