Mariucci Role Call: Section 2AA & 6AA Finals
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
Tickets in the past have been on sale an hour prior to the game, and the cost is a little more. But it is a two for one price.
Sadly I will not be there I am taking my daughter to college orientation in Ohio. I like Minnetonka in 6AA and Edina in 2AA. Edina is big and strong and fast.....Good luck to all.

Very interesting point. I forgot about that. The young tonka coach has done exceptionally well this, in his first season. Pauly knows these players pretty well.

I will be there tomorrow night...they should be two really good games!!! I'm more worried about finding a place to park than it being sold out; even though Mariucci has always struggled with getting everyone in on time (usually because they only open 2 or 3 ticket windows) I've only seen it sell out for the section finals once and that was a long time ago...
Good way to catch the games....Govs93 wrote:Ah, I figured I'll be able to track the Edina/Burnsville & Tonka/BSM scores from the Coliseum and on catch up the MyFoxHockey highlights later (for Edina/Burnsville anyway), so being in the old barn will give me the best chance to catch most of the 4 games at some point anyway. Covering all bases.who_b_dat wrote:When you jump on someone's bandwagon, you really do sacrifice for them dont ya? If nothing else, the parking will be better.Govs93 wrote:I'm going to the Coliseum to see some real hockey
Go ROGERS!
another note, for audio, is MSBN will carry all 4 of these games live, and archived...

I'll be there for sure. These are some of the most anticipated games all year. Should be great ones. I was actually getting excited thinking about them last weekend. Everyone will pull out all the stops to get to St. Paul. I wish all the best to the teams competing tomorrow. We are the real winners, cause we get to see BOTH of these games in one night.

Does it get any better than tonight? I'm not sure how it can! How in the Hell is the state tourney gonna even come close to these 2 games played tonight ... not to mention a great game I took in last night at the colliseum between WBL and Roseville.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL 4 TEAMS TONIGHT ON A UNBELIVABLE NIGHT FOR HOCKEY! Also congrats to the officials on both nights for allowing the players decide it on the ice.
I was waiting and watching a long time for these sections to play through, and we all got what we expected! AWESOME!
Thinking of taking in Woodbury & Rosemount tomorrow .. just not sure if the ticker can handle another barn burner.

The atmosphere tonite at Mariucci was unbelievable. Those 2 games represented what minnesota high school hockey is all about. All 4 teams deserved to play at state. I too am thinking about going to the Woodbury and Rosemount game, but i have to force myself to not expect those types of games for every game.

Maybe the best pair of section games I've ever seen. Did anyone catch the attendance? There were very few open seats, even after a good number of fans left after the first game the place filled right up again. One of my friends who's from Edina who got there during the 3rd perild of the first game, and had to wait in line almost an hour to buy a ticket.gopherhockey99 wrote:The atmosphere tonite at Mariucci was unbelievable. Agreed....but Zach May was offside by a mile for Burnsville's second goal, I wouldn't have cared if anyone else scored

It was a great night of hockey. The only flaw I saw was the refs missed a ton of offsides, including the play where Tonka hit the post late 2nd period.
It looked like they've never worked on an olympic sheet and couldn't keep up. Besides that, GREAT games!
